Plot Twist: Finnick's Return and End

Finnick had always loved Annie and never wanted to leave her. After he left to go on the mission, he missed her dearly. He wanted to go back to his new wife as soon as possible, but he knew he couldn't hurt his bestfriend, Katniss, if he would just leave the group. So he decided to go last when they were being chased by the mutt's in the underground tunnel.

He was bittened in the arm and on his face, so he used his left arm to slay the mutts with his trident.

Knowing he could go back to Annie now, he walked into the town where the capital people are and they fixed him up. Without looking in the mirror to see his new face, he arranged a secret trip back to District 13.

When he arrived, he saw his precious Annie crying in their house. She had heard the news that Finnick was eaten by mutts which is obviously isn't true.

He went inside and said, "Oh Annie, I am back. I love you so much."

She screamed back at him, "Who the hell are you?"

"I am Finnick." He responds.

She doesn't recognize him and still does not believe him. She learned to not trust anyone from being in the Hunger Games and being captive in the capital.

She then says, "I will be right back."

When she comes back, she has a knife. Before Finnick can say anything, the knife pierces his chest and he drops to his knees. Annie could have lived with Finnick for the rest of her life, but she killed him and she will never know that it was him, her loved one.
