I never thought I'd see light again, after sitting in a cramped spacecraft for months on end, with only my two crew mates and the beeping a clicking coming from the instruments to keep me company. Of course, I had this diary, to record my findings, but nothing interesting had happened so there was nothing to write. You see, me and my fellow intergalactic-extropedias are trying to find the planet Pandora. It was always my dad's dream — before he died — to find this strange place, far beyond the walls of Earth. He searched for years and would never give up. Of course, he never did find it — and that's why I'm here — bored out of my mind with absolutely nothing to do or even think. To carry out his hunt for Pandora.

I woke up to a strange noise. A ringing — coming from the sensor. This was odd, the spaceship-machinery hadn't malfunctioned in years! I got up a slipped into my dressing gown (which is very hard when you have zero gravity) and floated up to the top of the craft. I couldn't understand why it was making such an ugly noise, it wouldn't stop at all. I looked out of the clear, front screen, and saw something incredible. An enormous, sky blue planet, looking like an endless round waves as big as Saturn. This, I realised after a few seconds of staring, was Polyphenus — Pandora's planet of orbit.
"Jake, Isla, come quick!" I shouted, "I can see Polyphenus!" Jake and Isla, my crew mates, ran over (nearly crashing into me as there wasn't much room to run in the tiny spacecraft), super excited. I steered the ship towards the orb of azure dust, and was immediately drawn to a nearly invisible, whispy, silvery substance. As we flew even closer, I realised this was a force field. I could see past it, and was amazed — although of course I'd expected it — to see... Pandora.
Half an hour later
We passed two other small planets, which could've been Polyphenus's other moons, and saw the Earth-like planet for the first time. Wow. An explosion of bright blue colour, showing the sky, the sea, the ink of blue biro. I drove straight for it, forgetting about the shining, grey force field — and crashing the spacecraft straight into it. The right wing fell to pieces as it smashed into Pandora's surface. That's where it all started going very, very wrong. The pod (for it wasn't a spaceship anymore with only one wing) started falling, gathering speed as it soared through the galaxy, as black as coal, towards the strange blue face of Pandora.

I opened my eyes, and saw a jungle around me. I immediately sat up as straight as a pencil and observed my surroundings, for I knew of some of the dangerous inhabitants of this harmful planet, ready to defend us. The throbbing pain in my head was too much even so — I had to lay back down. I closed my eyes again, willing for the pain to leave my innocent body, but it didn't budge. Suddenly, I felt a wet, slimy, dog-like nose, nudge a cool object onto my forehead. The intense pain eased. I slowly sat up again, and saw a dog-wolf creature — that must've been the source of the wet nose.
"Who are you? Or rather, what are you?" I asked it, instantly worried, "What did you put on my head? Oh god, are Isla and Jake alright?" The thing nodded his head at me, like he understood and gave my a reassuring bark. It kneeled down and used its paws to write in the dirt — 'I am the Viperwolf. You have arrived in Pandora. I have given you and your friends leaves from the Lionberry plant, with newly found healing powers.' I thought a moment. Of course the creature was a Viperwolf, they can understand and write English.
