- It's scientific name means "Dog Headed Pouched One" (It may not be the exact meaning)

- They were declared extinct in 1986

- The last known Tasmanian tiger died in 1936

- They had 15-20 stripes and they were all different from the next

- Their natural habitat were in north New Guinea, Australia, and South to Tasmania

- They were marsupial (Marsupial: a mammal of an order whose members are born incompletely developed and are typically carried and suckled in a pouch on the mother's belly)

- They ate other marsupials like Kangaroo's. They also ate small rodents, birds, and reportedly preyed on sheep

- Both female and male Tasmanian tigers had a pouch

- Their pouch can carry 4 babies

- Their young depended on their mother's until they were at least half grown
