He kissed you passionately after looking at you for a moment,rubbing the small bump on your stomach. The love you two shared was immense,and having a child of your own is an ultimate blessing for you two. "Little One..." You cooed,entwining your hand with Connor's and rubbed your stomach gently. "Mommy and Daddy are so excited to see you. We want to spend all of our time with you,taking good care of you as you grow up into a beautiful child. We can't wait to feed you with delicious food that I could cook for you,clothe you with the best clothes we will pruchase for you,praise you as you accomplish so many challenges,and watch you grow up into a someone people will look upon. Either boy or girl,we love you so much."

You are already 2 months pregnant,and people could already see the visible bump of your stomach beneath your maternity dresses. People praised you and Connor,awed at your pregnancy and laughed at the protectiveness of Connor. The ladies were jealous of you,since Connor is very vigilant,unlike their husbands who don't even care about their pregnant wives are marching in the busy markets of Boston. Connor always becomes paranoid whenever you requested to go to the town to buy some edibles on the market in Boston. He always pleads to you that you could make a list for him instead of you being squeezed and bumped by every person in market. And you did so,because you understood his concern for you and the baby. You couldn't bear the thought of losing Little One because of your concern for the food. Connor could always hunt,anyway.

But then there was one time when trouble came,and Connor wasn't there to protect you from it.

"Connor!" Someone shouted and knocked frantically on the front door. You jumped from your rocking chair and you could sense the panic of the person behind his actions and hurriedly opened the door. There stood another friend of yours,sweating and panting on his knees. "What's going on?" You asked,trying to help him up from his knees.

"The British are marching here in your Homestead,searching for Connor and will be forcing him to go to the gallows!" Your heart stopped,tears clouding on your eyes as you also panicked. Good thing Connor is hunting now with Myriam,out of the radar of the Redcoats. Your friend lightly pushed you inside,closing the door behind it and gave a hurried gesture. "Hide,(y/n)! Hide where they can't find you!" You nodded your thanks to him and went to the hallway to pull the candelabrum and unlock the secret door. Your friend looked at the front door and at you in panic. "Exit on the back door,my friend. And escape there while you can. I will be fine." You ordered and he nodded,rushing to the back door. You entered the secret room and closed it quietly,going down the stairs to hide.

You calmed your breathing as you hear a loud bang and the front door being barged open. You could hear the shouts of the Redcoats inside your home,and you tried to remain calm and quiet as you sense them searching. You could hear the creak of the floorboards,and you swallowed as they near the secret door. You were sure that they wouldn't even notice the machinary of the candelabrum,right?

You softly sobbed,rubbing your bump in a soothing manner and looked at the door in panic. Your eyes only was trained on the stairs,your ears attentively listened at any kind of noise upstairs. You hoped that Connor should have not agreed to you that he should take a break of being on your side 24/7. You just wanted him to take some time for himself,not focusing so much about you and the baby.

"Come on,boys. There's n'thing in 'ere," You could hear a Redcoat command in a disappointed tone. You could imagine them exiting the door and continue searching on other homesteads,looking for your husband who has a large bounty on his head. You knew he has done nothing wrong,besides murdering any Redcoat who is somehow distracting him from his mission. He is just doing his duties as an Assassin,sabotaging the Templars and their evil plans. And those are good deeds.
