When a child is born, they have to choose a shell. That shell is then tattooed on their neck, a sign that burns when their lover is found. If the love is untrue, their shells will disappear in due time, although it's usually painful. They will go on to find their lover with what their hearts desire, not what their mark decides. If no love is found, you will be reborn to have another chance. If you are successful in your time, you will live a long-lasting life with your lover, returning to the necropolis after you die.
Of course, one girl seems to never die. Her mark gives her so much spiritual strength, even if her head is sliced off, she'll still be alive and kicking, spitting out curses while re-attaching her head.
Even though she no longer has her mark, she's exactly the same, almost better after breaking it off.
Seeing as her real name has been hidden from most; people call her Kronium, but the people that know her personally call her by her name.

Welcome to my first proper story, I've been trying to better my writing skills by reading a bunch of books, at this point my brain is going to explode 🥲
Unfortunately, I'm writing on an iPhone, so I'll be updating slower as I don't have my computer.
Currently on holiday, so
Anyway
I've found the inspiration to write this from a damned shell on the beach on this holiday. Now, I haven't been watching One Piece as much as I should be, bring a One Piece fan, so forgive me if my writing is a bit off from the anime and/or manga.
I won't be going off the actual plot, things will change as y'know, Shanks isn't in a lot of the series so far.
If I ever forget to update, spam dms or comments, I have notifications turned on so I'll get super annoyed at the spamming, making me check it.
