THE RISING SUN PULLED Y/N from her rage, and she finally stopped running and looked around herself. She'd been non-stop moving since she left the clearing and Sabito behind, and she wasn't even sure where she was. It had been an hour at least, so she collapsed at the base of a bare tree to catch her breath.

What the fuck were you doing?

Sabito's voice rang through Y/N's head and she groaned, dropping her head onto her forearm and feeling an uncomfortable heat coursing through her body, concentrating in her cheeks and stomach.

Guilt and embarrassment. 

As a general rule, she tended to stick to whichever decisions she made without looking back, but regret was overpowering her to the point she almost felt ill.

She'd lashed out unfairly, especially given that he was someone she cared for, and she never should've-

Y/N mentally backtracked to her guilty thoughts, focusing on one particular thing she had mentioned in her silent rant. 

Especially given that Sabito was someone she cared for.

For the first time, Y/N realised how lonely she was, sitting at the base of that tree, without Sabito by her side. She thought of her frequent focus and concern for him, the way she found herself smiling so often around him.
