His heart was thumping; pounding in his chest loudly. He hoped Ara couldn't hear it, because he was sure it was beating like crazy.
But he couldn't help it.
He had tried –he'd tried so hard not to catch feelings. His heart, on the other hand, had decided to take a leap of faith and just fall.
Fall for her.
He didn't think it was right (he was her bandmate after all), but he really couldn't control it. Even if he wished he didn't fall for her, it wouldn't have been stopped.
Maybe it was meant to happen this way. Maybe he was supposed to like her more than just as a friend. Maybe it was fate.
And please, don't get him wrong (he was a believer in forces much bigger than people), but he never had paused and thought about fate. At least, not when it came to feelings or relationships.
Because he believed he was doomed. He thought the moment he was confirmed to debut, he'd have to close his heart forever –or at least as long as his career lasted. He knew it was a loss for a gain (loss of love and gain of a dream come true). And he used to be okay with it.
