Vaccine

I sat down in the doctor's office and waited for the doctor to come into the room, when he did he sat down in a chair in front of me.

"So Tommy told me that the doctor in Jackson said you have permanent Brachial plexus for your Left-arm," The doctor said looking at me.

I nodded my head and rolled up the sleeve for my left arm, holding it out for him. I rolled up to me in the chair and started poking it and twisting my arm around studying it. When he was finished he rolled away from me, grabbed a clipboard, and began writing something down on it.

"So is this all?" I asked rolling my sleeve back down.

The doctor nodded his head, I stood up and walked out of the office. I walked down the hallway and out of the back of the building where I saw John waiting for me by the door of the clinic.

"Hey Y/N let's talk," He said smiling at me.

I sighed and walked up to John, he held the door open for me. I walked out of the door and began walking with John down a corridor.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

"I have a favor to ask," He said handing me a pendant.

I flipped it over and it had my name on it.

"What's this for?" I asked.

"Welcome back," He said looking forward not making eye contact with me.

"Whoa who said I was coming back? I was forced to come here remember?" I said trying to give him back the necklace.

John chuckled before pushing my hand away.

"Your gonna wanna be a part of what's about to happen" I looked at him confused.

"What's about to happen?" John stopped walking and turned to face me.

"We were able to get the cyclosporine that Isabelle and Ellie have within them that keeps them from getting infected" I nodded my head slowly.

"That means we have a prototype vaccine ready but we need to test it on someone"

It took me a minute to realize what John was implying.

"Wait you want to test that vaccine on me?! There's no way John if it doesn't work I'll turn into an infected and I'm not trying to die in that way" I said raising my voice a little.

"Well who else do we use it on? Isabella? Ellie? There already immune so we wouldn't even know if it worked" 

"You can't use anyone else?" John stepped up to me.

"Why don't we use that girl or man you brought with you?"

I remembered Tommy and Dina were here as well not gonna lie kinda forgot they were here, but Dina has a son and Tommy has a wife I don't want them to possibly die because of a possibly faulty vaccination.

"Are you crazy they have a settlement John" 

"Then take there place, you know your lucky your alive we usually kill  tresspassers" I looked away from him.

"So you either A. be our test subject or B. We use one of them, what do you choose?" He said crossing his arms over his chest.

I sighed feeling defeated I didn't wanna do this but I also didn't want something to happen to Dina and Tommy they have people they need to go back to me , but since I have nothing to loose it only makes sense for me to be the test subject.

"Fine but you better not touch them" John nodded.

"Of course not" John walked ahead of me before stopping.

"I'll come get you tomorrow" John walked up to a set of double doors.

"Oh and keep this our little secret" 

The doors closed and I was left standing in the hallway by myself, I was frustrated that I didn't have a choice in all of this What the hell am I gonna do if there stupid vaccine doesn't work and I get infected. I'm scared and confused as to why it had to be me, if only we wouldn't have went to that base we wouldn't be here right now. I sighed and walked back to the room I used to share with Ellie, Abby, Lev, and Isabella, Tomorrow I could possibly die yippee.
