"What gave you that idea? No tip?!" Luke asks. "Oh yeah here's a tip. Serve your customers!" Lorelai says. "Here's another, don't sit on and cold benches!" Luke tells her.

After school Rory and Victoria get off the bus.

"I'm heading over to Lane's, you coming?" Victoria asks her sister. "Uh yeah I just got to go to Doose's real quick, I'll meet you there" Rory answers.

"Ok" Victoria says walking to Lane's.

"Lane?! Victoria?!" Rory yells running into Lane's house.

"What's wrong?" Victoria asks as her and Lane walk up to Rory. "I got kissed, and I shoplifted" Rory tells them.

"Are you serious?! Who kissed you?!" Lane asks. "Dean" Rory answers. "The new kid?" Victoria asks.

"You got the new kid? Oh my god!" Lane yells.

"It happened so fast, I was just standing there" Rory says. "Where?" Lane asks.

"Doose's market" Rory tells her. "He kissed you in the market?" Lane asks. "Ok aisle three" Rory adds.

"By the ant spray?" Victoria asks.

"Yes" Rory confirms. "Oh, that's a good aisle" Lane says.

"What defines a good aisle?" Victoria questions. "An aisle where she gets kissed by the new kid is a good aisle" Lane says. "Oh my god, I can't breathe." Rory tells them.

"Sit down" Lane says handing her a stool.

"No, I can't sit down. I'm too, oh my god. He kissed me!" Rory says as Mrs Kim walks by them. "Who kissed you?" Mrs Kim asks.

"The lord, mama" Lane says. "Oh. Okay then" Mrs Kim says walking away. "So, tell me everything" Victoria asks her sister.

"So I go into the store, and he offers me a soda. And then he puts two behind his back and asks me to pick one, and then he kissed me" Rory tells her.

"I'm so jealous, that's it. I got to get some dumb ugly friends" Lane says. "I've got to go tell mom" Rory says walking away.

"Call me later" Lane tells her. "Okay" Rory says before she stops walking and turns around. "What's wrong?" Victoria asks.

"I can't" Rory says.

"You can't leave? It's sing your favorite hymn night at your the Kim house, make a run for it" Lane tells her. "My mom doesn't know about Dean" Rory says.

"So tell her! I told her about Tristan and she's fine with that" Victoria says. "The last time I talked to her about boys it got very ugly" Rory reminds her. "Well that was different, she thought you were gonna quit school over a guy" Lane tells her.

"Yes, over Dean" Rory points out.

"Okay fine, but she doesn't have to know it was him" Lane suggests. "She'll know" Victoria says.

"How?" Lane asks. "She'll know, She's Lorelai. She'll know" Rory says. "What do I do?" She asks.

"Well maybe she'll be more open to the concept, now that you're in school and doing so well and everything" Victoria says.
