"jack are you sure?". she asked again, "damn diamonté you really feeling the kid huh?". he asked as she giggled, sliding her shoes off she gently got onto the bed, laying towards him,
"i got battle scars now". he mumbled flicking her nose, "stop joking about this jack, it's not funny at all you almost died! i can't raise a baby alone". she stressed her eyes beginning to get glossy, "i'm sorry baby i just wanted to lighten the mood". he softly said, "go to sleep baby i promise to be here when you wake up". he softly said as she hesitated, holding her pinky out she held it closer to him, "serious d?". he asked as she nodded, "i'm dead ass! pinky promise me right now". she slightly shouted, reaching over jack wiped her tears holding his pinky out, interlocking them he leaned over kissing their hands.
"now please get some sleep, you look exhausted". he mumbled as she rolled her eyes, "well i got a few hours when i passed out". she said gasping softly, "when you did what?". he asked sitting up wincing in pain, diamonté quickly sat up in concern, "it's nothing jack please just lay down you almost died today". she said looking at his bandaged stomach, nodding he lay back down, "come here". he softly said, "no your stomach i don't want to hurt you". she said laying further away from him,
"you are so difficult". he said shaking his head, hearing sniffling he raised an eyebrow, "are you crying?". he asked as she rolled her teary eyes, "yes! because i just want you to be comfortable and safe and your getting mad at me". she screamed looking over her shoulder at him, grabbing her body she pulled her back to his front wrapping his arms around her,
interlocking their hands she closed her eyes as he inhaled her scent, gently rubbing her stomach in circles she sighed relaxing. before she dozed off she looked back at him, "jack i love you a-and i'm sorry i've always given you a hard time". she softly said turning back around. kissing her cheek he smiled burying his face in her hair. "it's fine baby just go to sleep".
