Racism or colorism
In the Proud Family
Reboot
It has terrible effects
On the self esteem
Of Black girls and women alike
We need something positive to
Be said about black girls
And women in the
Reboot
Can you hear us
Disney
We are speaking the
Truth about
What has to be
Done in the reboot
We need you to hear us
Out on this
Can you reassure us that
You can make a change
We need this
How can we rewrite what's going on
In this world
Can it be peaceful once more
That's all we hope for
It's not easy seeing what people
Are going through during this pandemic
We still connect with each other in
Our own ways
The Proud Family has been a part of my childhood
And it really is a great show to watch
Besides people still want to watch the reboot
But they need to see some change in it
I'm speaking out for the people who want
To be heard in that petition
Because we need the producers and the cast of
The Proud Family reboot to hear us
If y'all want to make your fans happy out there,
Change the bad stereotypes for Dijonay Jones
To good stereotypes so that black girls and women
Get the good kind of representation in this world
That's all we want for this reboot
Especially me
I have been a big fan of the Proud Family
When it first came on Disney Channel
And let's just say it gave me a connection
I think back to one of the episodes of
The Proud Family when Penny Proud
Had stood up in front of
Her classmates and told them a story
About Black History Month
That was one of my favorite episodes
From the show
My point is that the Proud Family reboot
Needs to be changed for the better
We the fans deserve that change
And we need it now
So we hope that y'all would do this
