9 • Some Old Man

Start from the beginning

I stepped into the speaker's room and took a seat next to the man.

"Hey Rowan! How was your flight with Arka going?" Celeste wondered with a small grin.
I looked away and crossed my arms over each other and answered. "You set me up with a beast '' I looked back and winked at her with a smile. She started laughing, because of her smile I started laughing too. Mother Meira smiled and the man just looked at the soldiers training.

"Arka can be a little stubborn yeah"

"A little?! I fell off of her back falling to the ground and she actually laughed at me!"

Celeste laughed even harder after hearing I fell off. Mother Meira chuckled but the man just kept staring at the soldiers. Is he in a bad mood or doesn't he understand the feeling called laughter?

"Sooo what are these soldiers training for?" I asked while looking at them.

"They train for war obviously," the man answered. I believe he stubbed his little toe today.

"No shit old man but which war, what enemy?" I answered annoyed.

Celeste chuckled after my answer and Mother Meira stared at the soldiers. I don't think she liked the sarcasm.

He leaned towards me staring me cold in the eyes. "Against an enemy you don't have to ask so much about. None of your human business."

Celeste grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back on his seat.

"Don't be cruel to him, he doesn't know about Ozai yet." She whispered.

"Who's Ozai? Is he the guy who gave Arka those scars?!" I yelled as I stood up with anger.

"Why do you even care about them? You can't even ride one clearly." The man shouted and stood up too. He stood right in front of me, centimeters between our faces. He looked me cold in the eyes as I just looked back with no fear. He was a few inches taller than me but I didn't care at all.

"What is even your name, old man? Or should I leave it with that?" I said with a grin on my face.

Mother Meira didn't move a muscle and kept looking at the soldiers while Celeste broke us apart. She pushed the man back on his seat and grabbed me by my arm and took me outside the speakers room.

"Who does that guy think he is?!" I felt annoyed.

Celeste still held my arm in a good grasp and pulled me to the other side of the stand.

"His name is Lee Ransom, he is my personal guard and guide. He helps me make decisions and supports me a lot. Don't disrespect him, he can be cold i know but he doesn't like humans so thats why hes like that towards you." Celeste explained as she let go of my arm.

"I won't, im sorry,"

"Ozai is one of our other enemies. We have never seen him face to face. He did a lot of damage on the Empire but never came himself. We don't know who he is, that makes him so dangerous. He could be in Arcelia right now." Celeste explained as she looked at the soldiers finishing their training with Lee telling them something.

"Do you think Ozai could be teaming with Zillah?" It could be a possibility right?

"We thought about that but I don't think Zillah would do that. She was always alone and never wanted to do things with others. She never accepted help in any way." Celeste explained as she raised her hand in the air and pointed one finger in the air. A small star shot out of her finger straight into the air. It exploded in the air, it looked like fireworks but it was just one explosion.

"It's a signal for a specific someone", she winked at me as a loud roar covered the whole arena. Arka dived straight into the arena. She flew in a circle around the arena and landed behind us. She screeched as she sniffed Celeste her clothes but pushed me on the ground.
