A girl with silver hair strode through the city of Lunith. Her boots clicking on the pavement as she made her way towards the centre of the city. The sun shone bright just as it does every day and she was smiling at how hot it could get each day, sweeping the sweat from her forehead.
Even with the light clothes she had on, it was still very hot. Dressed in mostly leather, with some parts having metal plates on it. They are on her legs and arms and her left shoulder. There is a mace by her side.
Upon entering the centre, a dozen of merchants were selling their possesions to civilians and adventurers.
Adventurers. A job common for this era. Hunting monster, doing requests for all age and gender, exploring the world. This is what calls together many people. And many join each other in these hunts.
The girl came to this town for the same reason as well, to become a licensed adventurer, her dream job. But this town could not be a better choice as Lunith is the capital city in the Kingdom of Luvrodem where the Queen and King have kept
peace with the surrounding countries.
Though not the strongest, this country stands atop the very best. The main reason other countries don't attack is because of two reasons: the strongest sorceress lives here, and because this is the hotspot for the adventurers. But what about the girl?
The girl with silver hair was confused. She didn't know which way to go to find the Adventurer's Guild. The place she can obtain her license from.
Since the city is very big and she doesn't intend to lose time by getting lost, she decided to just simply ask which way to go.
"Um, excuse me."
The old merchant turns around and looks up at the girl. He smiles.
"Yes? How may I help you?"
"I'm looking for the Adventure's Guild. Can you show me which way is it?"
"Of course, dear." he looks away and into a street "you go into that street and turn right after at the third turning, from there you will see the building as well as a lot of adventurers."
"Thank you!!" she said and took off running in the direction the old man told her to go.
Not even waiting for a second to stop she ran all the way to Guild. It is true that she almost knocked over five people and an entire stand but she made it in under 3 minutes.
It was as beautiful as she had heard. Giant archways before the massive wooden door. Carefully carved wooden sculptures of present gods and godesses. And the logo of the Guild, the black shield with two swords clashing in the middle.
Various flags hung from a pole on the side of the building, some of which the girl recognised. She saw the elven, dwarven and beast-tribe flags that were the most notable.
But there was one flag she wasn't sure fitted the building: a black flag with a single purple eye in the middle crossed out by purple lines. It was omnious for such a lively community. She paid it no mind, and went inside.
The inside, just like the outside, was beautiful. A two story building filled with chairs and tables and adventurers. They seem to be relaxing here after a good quest. There were also maids who served the food and most importantly, the beer.
Ignoring the crowd and the beer, she went straight to the check up desk. She went by the famous billboard where the quests are put out and can be chosen from. She rang the bell at the desk and the receptionist came to meet her.
"Hello. How may I help you?" she asked flashing a smile at the girl.
"I'd like to have an adventurer license."
