Draft: outlining stage
The same ship from last chapter (John and Cecile), except put into a vampire alternate universe.
Cecile is living an easy, boring, uncomplicated life with her father. The main event in her life right now is studying for exams and graduating high school; something her older brother never got to do because he was killed along with their mom in a car accident a few years ago. Except for their absence, everything in Cecile's life is as normal as a regular teenager's; until one simple accident as small as a paper cut changes the course of everything that Cecile was so sure about.
John is a newborn vampire focusing on getting through his first year as a bloodsucker. Meaning that his thirst is uncontrollable, he is extremely violent, and his emotions are through the roof nearly all of the time. So far, being a newborn has gone with surprising few incidents. However, all of that changes one fateful day when one tiny change brings John's regular day off course.
