tw: suicidal thoughts, drunk tommyinnit, vomiting
george stood and waited as his eyes adjusted to the bright disco lights. although he was colourblind, colourful lights still affected him negatively; he didn't react well to most party situations. the music was way too loud and there were way too many people. karl had told him it was a small gathering of friends but it was apparently not so small.
"truth or dare bitch," a drunk freshman came wandering up to george, knocking him with his drink. he was unusually tall and had a fluffy lump of bright blonde hair flopping over his forehead.
"um, why are you like four months old? i'm going to take your drink and find you your friends, okay?"
"i am not a fucking child-" the freshman complained. hitting george on the arm as he attempted to take his cup from him.
"who are your friends?" george asked again, holding the boy by his wrists.
"friends...wilby is my friend. big man wilby." the freshman mumbled, almost tripping into the table of snacks. "i am a very popular man. tub-toby is my friend, i have very many woman friends too,"
"alright thats enough talking. do you mean like wilby as in wilbur?" george knew wilbur from art class, and he scanned the room. wilbur was standing with a boy he knew as darryl, and george's friend niki from primary school. they had grown apart but were still friendly; a shame since niki was super sweet and kind to everyone.
"wilbur! hey," george waved from across the room.
"oh hi, thank you, i see you've met my brother tommy." wilbur sighed sadly. "i hope he didn't embarrass himself."
george giggled at tommy, who was pointing at niki and screeching: woman! "don't worry about it."

"how you doing? i see you haven't drunk much." sapnap gestured to george's essentially full glass.
"not in the mood, i saw a literal child come up to me drunk earlier." george said, setting his drink down on the table. "look, his friend is trying to stop him from throwing a glass at someone. i think his friend is called... like tub- something. seems sweet."
"i get what you mean." sapnap laughed, "reminds me of someone i used to know."
george nodded, leaning in, intrigued.
"i used to have a friend, we were really close actually. about a month ago he like completely dropped out of school and went off the radar. i heard he even changed his name. i don't know why though, it was so sudden. no one saw it coming, but he was always supportive and kind, i- he would take us away from trouble and, and help us." he sniffed. sapnap's expression had gone from blissful to mournful. george didn't like sad sapnaps.
he pondered, biting his lip as he looked at the ground. "i'm sorry." he managed. "that must suck."
"i guess, uh, should we go find karl?" sapnap shrugged, getting up and looking back at george.
george giggled as he said "can't even go a minute without seeing your boyfriend?"
"shut up, karl is straight." sapnap shoved george roughly. he eyed george accusingly, his eyebrows furrowing in disappointment as he pondered over what he just said. karl always seemed so platonic when they hugged, oblivious to the things he made sapnap feel. fucking hell.

dream didn't even bother going out that night. he was sitting on his balcony, taking deep swigs from a cigarette as he watched the world fly by. the city was beautiful and dream was at a complete loss of what to do with his life.
he knew he wasn't going to get far gambling and drinking, and didn't get any pleasure from doing anything. dream didn't have friends, or they all left when he dropped out of school.
he watched as his legs swung pathetically over the cityscape, watching the road far below his feet. one jump, to end it all. no worries. nothing left at all.
he sniffed sadly, his hands resting on the side, ready to push him to his death any second. it was worthless. he was worthless.
the fall beckoned him, dream wanted to submit to gravity, letting all his problems go. it wouldn't be like anyone would miss him. no, they went through their grief months ago. the only person... george.
fucking george with his stupid accent and perfect smile.
he would never get to see george again if he fell. never get to make him blush.
it wasn't about the money at all, he had men all day dropping cash at his feet. no, dream just wanted someone to care.
—
voices echoed around george's brain as he struggled to distance himself with the mass of sweaty bodies and alcohol. heavy music spread through the thick air, the smell of marijuana pungently apparent. he stumbled out, breathing heavily as he clutched his stomach, vomiting into the pavement. he groaned, drunkenly stumbling into the road.
flashbacks brought george back to when dream had held him in his arms, whispered in his ear. shit. george hadn't thought about dream in days. dream. oh god. he bit his lip, thinking hard as he sat in the road, shuffling away from the pile of sick.
fuck, dream. dream. oh dream. what the fuck are you doing to me.
george wasted no time rushing to his car. he wanted to be home. he wanted to be left with his thoughts. he wanted more.

"sapnap, why are you being so distant!" karl screamed drunkenly, shaking him by the collar. music filled sapnap's ears, almost drowning out his words as he looked at karl.
sapnap smiled sadly at the boy. "karl... you wouldn't understand." he insisted, prying karl's hands off his shoulders.
"really? really?! is it not because you're fucking mad at me for something, i don't know. please tell me!"
sapnap groaned, his eyes meeting karl's. "it's cause i'm fucking in love with you, dumbass."
silence.
"i really want to kiss you right now." karl said quietly. he looked at sapnap again, who was staring at him in a different way, lidded eyes and suggestive smirk.
"oh...?" sapnap grinned, running his hand across karl's cheek, gently cupping his chin.
karl hurriedly smashed their faces together, the taste of alcohol burning their tongues, spurring them on. they aggressively pulled at eachother, needing closeness.
sapnap didn't know if karl was drunk, or if karl was being serious, but either way, he let himself be lured in by his kindness.
