I wake up to the smell of bacon and eggs, so I go through my normal routine and then head towards the kitchen. "Hey Dad, what are you doing home? I thought you were working today." "Nope, I decided to surprise you and spend the day with you. That's not a problem, is it?" "Oh no, I'm just glad that you're home. I feel like I never get to see you anymore. You are always working. What do you have planned for us today?" Well, I figured we could go fishing this morning at the lake then come home for lunch and to clean ourselves up. I have a special plan for this evening too, but it happens to also be a surprise." "What will you tell me about that? Anything?" "I'm only going to say that you are meeting a lovely young lady, and that you need to dress in your best clothing." "Sounds fun." I respond even though it sounds like the last thing that I want to do. As always I'm expected to just forget whatever I had planned. Originally I was planning on spending the day with my friends. Maybe go on a hike, play basketball, and basically just have fun. Though I get the feeling that there is something that Dad is hiding from me, possibly a lot of things. It wouldn't shock me in the least. But that isn't what I'm going to do. I'm going to do what he wants. And soon I will find a way to get out of here.
