Riley's POV
The next day at school I'm headed to my class before lunch which is English and honestly it's not that bad, the people in my calls aren't that bad. There's only one seat left since I'm usually late and its but this one boy so I go to sit beside he was in my Science class too so I decide to introduce myself.
"Hi I'm Riley."
He jumps at first cause I obviously scared him cause he was zoned out.
"Hey, I'm James."
"Nice to meet you."
"Hey, your I'm my Science class right?"
"Yeah..." I say quietly
"Cool, I notice that people always laugh at you...."
"Can we please not talk about that!?"
"Oh yeah sorry I didn't mean to hurt you."
James POV
I should not have said that, that was a big mistake and it was the first time I talked to her! She probably won't talk to me again... But right after I said that I got surprised and she still responded.
"That's okay, your probably one of the only people who actually talk to me.." She says
"Oh... Hey, do you want to have lunch with me and my friends?"
"I guess...."
The class goes by really quick then I head out to the cafeteria and sit with my friends and wait for Riley.
Riley's POV
I agreed to eat lunch with James because it's better than eating by myself so I thought I would try it. When the class ends I walk to the other end of the school where my locker is to put my books away but on the way there I notice people laughing.
"Nice shirt!" They say and laugh.
I try to ignore them and move quickly, I shove my books in the locker and grab money for my lunch, and my phone then I walk quickly to the cafeteria.
When I get there I order my food and then I notice James at his table with his other friends and I walk over I can tell that this might not be what I expected.
