3rd Person

"Ugh! I can't even look at you right now, Br'aad." Sylnan said, slamming his head against the wall. He stormed out angrily, leaving Br'aad curled up on the ground.

Sylnan rubbed his eyes and took his hat off. He sat down on the ground, pulling his knees to his chin. Then, he heard rustling. He reached to his belt for his knife, hovering his hand over it.

"Eek!" Something squeaked. He walked over to where the sound came from, a bush, to see a little cat. He saw a dog attacking it, and grabbed it by the back of it's neck.

He threw the dog away from the bush, it howled and ran away. Picking up the hurt kitten, he sat in a criss-cross shape and layed it in his legs.

The kitten weakly opened it's eyes, looking at him, and with a poof, turned into an odd looking humanoid. With pale colored skin and fluffy brown hair, the child looking creature curled into a ball, scratches all over their body.

My Pov

The last thing I remembered was opening my eyes slightly to see I was in a half elf's lap, I curled into a ball and fell unconscious.

I woke up on a crate with a blanket over the crate and on me. I looked around the small room and saw the half elf that had helped me. As he looked over, I quickly layed back down and pretended to be asleep.

Sadly, it didn't work.

"Kid. It's alright, I'm not gonna hurt you. Well- Long as you don't hurt me."

I turned to look at him, though it was hard to through my hair.

"Here." The half elf walked over and I felt my hair tugged a slight bit. Suddenly, it disappeared. He had put it up in a small pony tail, though it was a kind of bad one considering how short my hair was.

"I can see more now-!" I giggled. I looked up at him with a big smile.

"Yup. I'm Sylnan. Vengolor. Sylnan Vengolor." He said, smiling back.

"Albie! Uhm. Just Albie," I said, not sure how to formally introduce myself.

"You got anywhere to go? Return address or something?"

"Like a dog? Or mail?"

"I don't know how kids work-- I thought they had like addresses you could return them to if they got lost.

"I might." I said, looking away for a moment.

"Well?"

"Maybe." If I did, I couldn't remember it.

"Guess you're gonna have to stay with me then?"

"Alrighty!"

"I have.. An extra bed. It's not being used anymore."

"Okay!" I said, letting my legs dangle off the crate.
