Things were in full swing at the new Avengers Facility. People were busy working and organizing things. Lydia smiled when she arrived and found Sam inside, immediately running into his arms. The two looked at each other before Sam leaned in, pressing a sweet kiss to her lips. After they pulled away Lydia's phone buzzed making her smile as she opened it.

Lydia smiled as she saw the video of baby Nathaniel, showing Sam as he stepped behind her and looked over her shoulder. -------------------------------------------------------
Natasha had also gotten a video of the baby, Nathaniel Pietro Barton.
"Fat" she commented out loud
"One of our tech boys flagged this. Splashed down in the Banda Sea" Nick said as he approached her," Could be the Quinjet.. But with Stark's stealth tech, we still can't track the damn thing"
"Right" Nat said, nodding slightly
"Probably jumped out and swam to Fiji. He'll send a postcard" Nick told her
"Wish you were here" Nat said, "You sent me to recruit him way back when. Did you know then what was gonna happen?"
"You never know" Nick said, "You hope for the best, then make do with what you get. I got a great team."
"Nothing lasts forever" she said
"Trouble, Ms. Romanoff" Nick said, "No matter who wins or loses. Trouble still comes around." -------------------------------------------------------
"We're dealing with something new" Tony said to Steve and Thor
"Oh the Vision is an artificial intelligence." Steve said
"A machine" Tony added
"So, it doesn't count?" Steve asked
"No. It's not like a person lifting the hammer." Tony said
"Right. Different rules for us" Steve pointed out
"Nice guy. Artificial" Tony said looking at him
"Thank you" Steve said
"He can wield the hammer, he can keep the Mind Stone. It's safe with the Vision" Thor said, "And these days, safe is in short supply."
"But if you put the hammer in an elevator" Steve started
"It would still go up" Tony quickly said
"Elevator's not worthy" Steve said
"I'm gonna miss these little talks of ours" Thor said
"Not if you don't leave" Tony said to him
"I have no choice" Thor replied, "The Mind Stone is the fourth of the Infinity Stones to show up in the last few years. It's not a coincidence. Someone has been playing an intricate game and has made pawns of us. And once all these pieces are in position"
"Triple Yahtzee" Tony said
"You think you can find out what's coming?" Steve asked
"I do" Thor answered, "Besides this one" he said as he pat Tony, "There's nothing that can't be explained" and with that, he was gone.
"That man has no regard for lawn maintenance" Tony sighed
"I'm gonna miss him though. And you're gonna miss me. There's gonna be a lot of manful tears" Tony continued
"I will miss you Tony" Steve said
"Yeah? Well, it's time for me to tap out" Tony replied, "Maybe I should take a page out of Barton's book. Build Pepper a farm, hope nobody blows it up."
"The simple life" Steve commented
"You'll get there one day" Tony said
"I don't know" Steve said, "Family, stability, the guy who wanted all that went in the ice 75 years ago. I think someone else came out."
"You all right?" Tony asked as he climbed into his car
"I'm home" Steve nodded -------------------------------------------------------
"You wanna keep staring at the wall, or do you wanna go to work?" Steve asked as he and Lydia approached Natasha
"Well in her defense, it is a pretty interesting wall" Lydia said as she smiled
"I thought you and Tony were still gazing into each other's eyes" Natasha said before looking at Lydia, "And that one was busy with Sam"
"Well until Steve came and pulled me away from him" Lydia huffed looking at Steve
"How do we look" Nat asked
"Well we're not the 27 Yankees" Steve answered
"We got some hitters" Lydia said
"They're good. They're not a team" Steve said
"Let's beat them into shape" Natasha said
The trio walked through some doors, Steve taking lead as Nat and Lydia were either side behind him
On the ground stood Rhodey, Vision, Sam, and Wanda. Everyone sharing a look as they faced the three by the doors
