Tears started crowding her eyes.
The girl tried to steady her breath so that when she spoke no one could notice her weakness.
That her heart was more fragile than glass.
Words that seemed not to bother her, hit her even harder.
All she could do was put on a brave face and wait for her heart to give up.
For her dam to burst and the tears to start flowing.
When it did she would have to hide in her room and silently cry in the covers.
