you've forced emotion back into my lungs
when I had almost forgotten i needed them to breathe
you've drawn a smile on my face
whilst others struggle to simply pick up the pen
you've made my stomach tie up knots
so much so that i spend patient hours untangling them alland yet you say you are not good enough for me
as if all these things are not good
you say you are not good enough for me
as if you have not fuelled me with reason and purpose
you say you are not good enough for me
but why must you be enough
why can you not simply be good
