idiot || nanami kento x reader

I sigh softly as I lay down on my bed and pinch the bridge of my nose. Sometimes I hate this job, it is very exhausting. However I have been more distracted at work than usual and there was only one person to blame.

Nanami. Kento.

Ever since he's shown up to work with Yuji I have not been able to get him out of my mind. Even Gojo has noticed and of course teases me about it when it is just the two of us. Man, he can be a real manchild sometimes.

I get up off of my bed and decide to fix myself some tea to try and distract myself from my own mind. After thinking about it for a few minutes I end up grabbing the peppermint tea. I prepare the water and linger nearby as I wait for it to be ready. I let my mind wander a bit.

Man, tea is the best...

It's even better when you have it with sweets...

Hm... I wonder if Nanami likes tea...

I suddenly stand straight up. "Goddamit Y/n, can you not think about him for at least a few minutes," I verbally scold myself. I sigh once again and start preparing the tea. I really can't get him out of my mind. I wonder if he ever thinks about me at all. I have tried to talk to him a few times but I think he doesn't really care that much for small chat. I gently blew on my tea and go to take a sip but stop once I hear my phone go off, telling me I received  a text.

Gojo: heyyyy Y/n~

Y/n: hi Gojo, whats up :)

Gojo: I saw u try and talk to nanami today ;)

I blush slightly and brace myself for more teasing from Gojo.

Y/n: yeah i tried to talk to him, so what

Gojo: u dont have to act like i dont know u like him lmaooo 

anyways 

howwww did it gooooo? :)

Y/n: nothing really happen :( maybe he thinks im boring or something

Gojo: probably lol

Y/n: gojo that is rude yknow

I take a sip of tea. Suddenly I remember how silly I was earlier when I was thinking about Nanami as I made tea. Suddenly I got the best idea ever.I quickly pick up my phone and text Gojo again.

Y/n: yo i just got a good idea

need to go to bed early for it tho so

goodnight gojo :)

Gojo: oh?

okay then gn i guess

I attempted to chug the rest of my tea which was a bad idea, it was still pretty hot. Once I was done with my tea I quickly washed the mug and set it out to dry. I then went to my room and started to ready for bed.

As I am getting ready for bed I think about the cafes I pass while on the way to work. I mentally compared them all until I picked the one that I thought was the best. I then try to think about a drink that Nanami might like. Coffee? Coffee. He looks like a coffee drinker, and he also looks like he could use a cup of coffee anyways. I smile to myself as I get comfortable in my bed.

Tomorrow I am going to bring Nanami some coffee.

~The Next Day~

I was awoken by my intense alarm clock which caused me to panic slightly. I got up and turned it off. I looked at the time and saw that I was woken up earlier than usual. I was about to got back to bed but then I remembered my plan.

I have to get Nanami's coffee!

I quickly rush and get ready. I put on an outfit that made me feel confident but also comfortable. I fix myself up in a mirror then leave the bathroom and get all my stuff. Once I was sure I had everything I rushed out the door. I looked at my phone and saw that I had taken a bit longer to get ready than I wanted. I mentally curse at myself as I started to speedwalk to the cafe. Once I got there I ordered a drink for Nanami. I considered getting something for myself but I didn't want to risk being late and possibly missing Nanami. I tapped my foot and waited in line. Once I got Nanami's drink I left the cafe and started to speedwalk once again. I focused on not spilling the coffee as I rushed to Jujutsu Tech.

Once I arrived at work I looked around for Nanami. I grew nervous when I couldn't find him. Perhaps I was to late. After frantically looking around for him I decide to give up. I let out an audible sigh as I now slowed my pace as I walked down a corridor.

I got lost in my thoughts until I heard footsteps from just around the corner. I speed up and peek around the corner and saw the person I was just frantically searching for. I walk towards him and tap him on the shoulder. "Hey Nanami!" I say as I greet him with a small smile.

Nanami turns around and faces me, causing me to get a bit nervous. "Oh, good morning Y/n," he says in his usual monotone voice.

"Good morning!" I say and then freeze up slightly. 

Damn, why is it so hard to talk to him?

I saw him still looking at me as he waited for me to say more. My mind went blank for a second until I remembered. Coffee. I need to give him his coffee.

"I u-um bought this coffee for you..." I trailed off slightly. "I didn't know what you liked so I just tried my best to guess what you would like..." I say nervously as I hand him the coffee.

Nanami takes the coffee. His hand briefly touches mine as he grabs the cup. He simply replies with "Oh. Thanks," before walking off. I saw him take a few sips of the drink as he walked away. I tried to see if his expression changed as he sipped the coffee but it didn't even change slightly. I stood there for a few seconds until I saw him disappear into a room.

Really? That's all?

I sigh to myself, I don't know what I expected. Almost all of our interactions go like this. Truthfully, I am just glad I didn't make a huge fool of myself or anything. I then smile to myself and head to where I am supposed to report to for today. This is it. This will be the way I win over Nanami. I will continue to bring him things and be nice to him until he warms up to me. I just can't believe he doesn't know that I like him, I thought he would pick up on it by now. I laugh softly and think to myself.

Nanami Kento....you are an idiot...
