In this version of the WCU, the leader (aka Monarch) suffix is -step.

When cats are born, they are born without a suffix, then gain -paw as their suffix.

It's pretty similar to the canon system, just that you can't use Shade or Rapid (I don't see why you would, though.)

Most cats are named after their scent, pelt, characteristics, something in nature, or for legacy.

(An example for legacy naming is Windpaw, who was named after Windfall, Windpaw's father.)

For monarchs, it passes onto the next relative selected to be an heir to the throne-- er, well, cat throne.

However, if none wish to be a monarch, the sorter rises to power, and their first/surviving apprentice becomes the next sorter.

(This was the case for Quailstep and Bumblebush.)
