A/N: Sorry this took a while to upload. I've had cheer practice, and practicing for my band concert, so I've been really busy. Hope to have this up soon! And I've already seen some people reading my story, and I haven't had it up for 48 hours! Thanks! Tell people, like and comment! XOXO, Lauren.
I woke up on a bright Tuesday morning by my 7 year old sister, Meghan. "Wake up! Wake up!" She exclaimed. She's always this full of energy. "Hey guess what? Tomorrow's your birthday!" She tells me like I already don't know. Gotta love her though. "I know Meghan!"
"Mom wants you to get in the shower, and then come downstairs for breakfast" I groan suddenly remembering school. "Isn't there some law that says it's illegal to make someone go to school on their birthday eve?" I ask. "Is birthday eve even a thing?" She asks. "And no, there isn't. I already checked when it was A and I's birthday. I laugh at her. She's so cute. "What's mom making for breakfast?" I ask. "Pancakes and scrambled eggs." She says. "Mmm" I lick my lips.
"Okay, guess I better get in the shower." And then I leave my nice warm comfy bed and throw myself in the shower. When I get downstairs, hair in a messy bun, wearing my favorite pair of worn skinny jeans, a "NEVEREVA" tee and my favorite pair of plain black converse. As I walk down the stairs, the overwhelming, delicious smell of the food gets my mouth watering. The smell encircles my nose like it's trying to dance up my nostrils. "Mmm, smells good mom!" I say.
"Thanks sweet pea." Thats her nickname for me. My other 7 year old sister Annabelle sits at the table with Meghan (they're twins) and my 11 year old brother Rylan comes out of his room looking like a zombie, but suddenly perks up when he smells the food. "Good morning Rylan." My mom says. "Smells good!" He replies. Then we sit down and eat, finish getting ready, and we walk to school. I stop at Starbucks on the way, and I get a cotton candy frappe, and my siblings get orange juice. We all go to our separate buildings.
As I walk in the high school building, I walk to my locker and there, my best friend, Lauren and my boyfriend Sage meet me, and we walk to class together. "So what do you want for your birthday?" They both say. "You mean you haven't gotten me anything yet?" I joke. Lauren playfully punches me in the arm and giggles. "Bye, beautiful" says Sage, as he kisses me on the lips. Lauren and I have the same first period, but Sage and I don't. He walks right and Lauren and I walk right. "So really what do you want for your birthday?" Lauren asks me again. "I don't know, use your imagination!" I say. "Ugh! You are no help whatsoever!" She answers, and punches me in the arm again. We walk into class and we instantly notice. Our English teacher Mrs. Hallson isn't in her usual spot, writing assignments on the board. I look over at Stephanie, one of my other friends. "Maybe she's just...late?" She tells me. "No, not possible. She's never late." Lauren answers. The principal, Mrs. Reggie, walks in and closes the door. "What's going on?" Asks a boy in the back. I think his name is Ben, I'm not sure. "I'm so sorry, but Mrs. Hallson was in an accident last night, and didn't survive." Silence breaks over the whole room that was once full of murmurs and questions. "I'm the most shaken up because Mrs. Hallson....wa..was my aunt. I immediately run out of the room, tears streaming down my face, Lauren right behind me.
