Work sucks!!

It was a a chilly tuesday afternoon and you just woke up to go to.. WORK! Yes yes working at a creepy old pizza place that's in the middle of nowhere isn't exactly ideal but the pay was good and you had to work somewhere or else your parents would make you move back in cause they think "You're too young to live on your own" yeah yeah You're 18 for christ sake! But you kinda liked the creepy vibe of it reminds you of a thriller movie.

Hitting your phone as hard as you can to turn off that default apple alarm. "They need to stop making the alarms so.. alarming?" You thought to yourself as you got ready for work.

You worked as the pizza maker and occasionally manned the register but only when your coworkers had an emergency.

"I wonder what todays gonna be like.." You thought out loud. Everyday there is a wild ride from the people who demand a new pizza when they clearly took a bite out of it, to the weird phone orders that always end up being in the middle of the woods.

You started to walk out your house to your car when you heard the news reporter on the t.v say this "In other news today five more found dead at larrys pizza shack. We have been getting phone calls all over town that there is a murderer on the loose killing innocent pizza workers, stay out of the streets and lock your doors folks. A moment of silence for the fallen ones..."

You turned off the t.v and locked the door. "Pfft what are they doing force feeding them left over pizza dough and cutting them  with the pizza cutter." You laughed to yourself. Your town was relatively big and it took a while for the news to get from place to place. You weren't all that worried about the murderer If it happens it happens we all go sometime.

You pulled into your signature parking spot as your friendly coworker jean waited for you.

"HEYYY!! I thought you'd never make it on time!" Jean shouted to you.

"Well im here aren't I?" You were kinda snappy cause jean was always so happy go lucky and it boiled your blood but that girl sure can make jokes. (The only reason you hang out with her)

"No need to be a meanie!" You brushed past her giving her one of those "haha!" looks. Your boss was frantic He was trying to Take orders and handle the register.

"Finally you're here y/n!! Wake up earlier so I don't have to do all this shit myself! Come in late one more time and your ass is outta here!"

He wasn't gonna fire you he was severely under staffed and you were the best at your job. Who's he gonna replace you with?

"Yeah yeah old man move out the way."

A couple hours of work passed by and it wasnt as bad as you thought it might be. The lunch rush was coming up so everyone was preparing for that.

"For a pizza place in the middle of nowhere people sure do go out of their way to drive here" Jean joked. You chuckled in agreeance with her.

Her joke made you wonder why do people come all the way out here for pizza? Is it that good? Or do they need a break from the big city and the smell of sewage?

It was the lunch rush and boy were you guys busy! Most people were in and out checking if the line was still long or grabbing drinks and chips.

A strange looking customer got in line and looked a little.. off? They had a big coat, a top hat, and were very frantic and spazzy.
"I mean its cold outside but damn no need to put the whole comforter on.." You chuckled at your own joke as the line progressed. When the customer made Their way to the register you made sure to listen in on his conversation with the person manning the register.
"Yeah yeah let me get uhh two pepperonis, a sausage, a veggie pizza, and two coca colas."

They sounded more normal than you thought. As you were handing the cashier the pizzas you had premade the customer turned around and walked out of the store. No words, No wallet checking, just straight up left.

They came back a couple minutes later with crumpled up cash and a different coat. You didn't think too much of it anymore they paid and thats all that matters.

Work was finally over!

"Hey y/n good work today!!" Jean yelled.

"Hey did anyone else see that weird customer with the two coats or am I trippin?" You asked everyone who remained in the pizza place

A few mumbled yes's and concerned looks.

"Can't wait to go home take a bath and.." Jean stoped her sentence half way and started pointing at the window behind me.

"Oh come on jean jeez get a grip" I said as I looked around everyone else was frozen in their tracks all looking at the window. "Of course Im the only one NOT looking that way" you thought to yourself as you turned around.

In disbelief it was the same customer who was In the line with with two coats. They were just.. standing there.. watching us. They stood there for a while then got in a car and drove away.

"Creepy.." Jean said.

It was infact creepy but not creepy enough to make people stop getting ready to leave work. As everyone was saying their good byes outside you spotted a person standing in the woods across the pizza place. You didn't want to say anything so you waited till everyone left.

"See you tomorrow y/n!!! WAKE UP EARLIER OK?!" Jean yelled as she pulled off into the street.

You weren't a big investigator when it comes to things like this, but you were feeling good today.

You started walking in the street when a car came rushing down the road.

"HEY DRIVE LIKE HELL YOU'LL GET THERE!!" you shouted at the driver but when you turned back they were gone..

"How mysterious."
