the chapter starts with sirat crying over her fate when she gets kartik's call the only hope she has now was that kartik should not have come to know about what happened

kartik ka call no no he shouldn't have come to know about what happened between me and ranveer he shouldn't otherwise he will be upset and the whole family will get to know about it and if mauri gets to know about the matter it would be a disaster she would be heart broken .
i picked up the call as it was ringing i cleared my voice so that he could not make out that i cried i picked up his call and what i heard gave me another shocker i hunged the call up and the only thing which had hovered my mind was his words;
"sirat kahaan ho tum please jaldi aa jaon i called ranveer but he is not answering at all please come fast mauri ki tabiyat achanak se kharab ho rahi hain she is calling out for you and ranveer please come to city hospital immediately"
i hurriedly went to the hospital and to the ward i was tensed for her she was the only one i had after ranveer and kartik's and she was very important for me veryy i looked up the ward to see mauri in the ward the doctors testing her while ranveer and kartik sitting on the bench with a tensed face i looked upto ranveer and could see no regret on his face of the mishappenings between us which broke my heart yet again..

"what happened to her?",asked sirat with teary eyes and a fear in her mind
"sirat she she just collapsed the doctors are checking her",said kartik
"hmm",said sirat while she was about to talk to ranveer when the doctor came in;
"doctor mauri kaisi hain she is fine na unhein kuch hoga toh nahin na?",said sirat panicking
"umm she is out of danger but we have to take care of her her blood pressure is high we will keep her in monitoring for some hours",said the doctor
"can we meet her?",asked sirat
"yeah sure but it would be great if it's only 2 ",said the doctor
"yeah sure",said sirat
saying this sirat went inside and talked with mauri ofcourse she was relieved that mauri if fine but she was truly broken by the accusations by ranveer she did not show her pain but yet it is visible to kartik ;
kartik pov
thank god amma is fine if something had happened to her then sirat would be the most sad person why does death threaten all of us na one death makes everyone die first naira and now thank god not mauri i think something has happened ranveer did not even console sirat once and when i was talking to her sirat was continuously looking at ranveer i think i should talk to sirat and ask her about the matter i just hope it is not what i hope for
