'Joining a team which which you have never actually talked is more awkward than I imagined at first.'

You scratch your head nervously. 'Ehh, what do we do now?'

'Paimon thinks that you should properly introduce yourselves. You know quite a lot about us due to your privacy invading ability, but we know basically nothing about you. Your first introduction was rather... questionable.'

'Oh right. Sorry for taking you by surprise. I dislike telling people about my ability so I may have lied to Kaeya why I know you and when I saw you I had to make sure that my story fits yours. To properly introduce ourselves: My name is (Y/N) and I am a traveler from afar who got robbed of their belongings yesterday. This pink Seelie over there is my trustworthy companion Rosa.'

Emergency food floats towards the floating orb and pulls on its ears. In return Rosa squishes Paimon's cheeks.

'I think they get along with each other.'

Aether nods as an answer.

After both companions are done with inspecting each other, Paimon turns towards you. 'How come that a Seelie follows you around? Aren't they supposed to float around in the wilderness?'

'You ask the wrong person. Rosa accompanies me as far as I can remember and I never really questioned it, so yeah.', you shag.

'Is it just Paimon's impression, or are the two of you as mysterious as you can possibly be?'

'Maybe... But the two of you are questionable too. Without my ability you would be two huge question marks too.'

'That's a good point, I guess...'

You notice that Aether stands besides the group without any chance of participation. He does show interest for the conversation but shows no signs of wanting to take part in it.

'Aether, do you want to say something too, or should we maybe change the topic? It would be rude to to constantly talk without you. Of course if you don't want to talk you don't have to.'

'(Y/N) stop talking. Please just stop talking, you're making it worse.'

The male is a bit taken aback by the sudden attention, but he does answer after a short pause of thinking. 'I think we should pitch our tents and prepare something to eat for dinner. We can continue talking there, if you want to.'

'Alright, since I have no tent I will prepare the food. Ah right, you don't have enough food for the whole group... Then I am going to search for ingredients. If I don't come back in an hour then I got lost most likely. In that case it would be nice to look out for me. Thank you in advance and bye!'

While you and Rosa depart for your search, Paimon floats closer to the traveler. 'Paimon thinks they are waaay too strange to be trusted. It's like they hide something big from us.'

'...Or they are socially awkward and nervous.'

'Yeah, or that.'

Meanwhile somewhere else. 'Rosa look! There's on of those Seelies which show you the path to a treasure!'

You start following the ghostlike creature and completely forget your previous objective. It leads you to a lonely rock in the center of a wide field. Around the stone various flowers of all kinds grow, some of which you can't recognize.

'Strange, I don't remember such a place existing here...'

The sound of something appearing interrupts your thoughts. It's a Luxurious Chest. With excitement you open it and contrary to your expectations, there are no valuable items in it - only some dust and nothing more.

'Whyyyyyy. Why aren't you as luxurious as your name suggests? This was such a waste of time! Now I have hurry while searching for ingredients!'

Leaving the lonely rock you feel eyes watching you, but you brush it off as paranoia.

After collecting fish and mushrooms, you head back to Windrise with the help of your round companion.

'Aether, Paimon, we are back!'

'You are... punctual. If you came even a bit later we would have already been gone and searching for you.', Paimon approaches you.

'Sorry, I got a bit sidetracked with another Seelie. It did show us the path to a treasure but since the chest was empty, I got nothing out of it.'

'I already made food and yes, for you too.', Aether continues.

'Thank you. For compensation I got fish and mushrooms. Well then, lets dig in!'

The night continues and the four of you talk about general things like interests and preferences to get to know each other better. Technically, Rosa doesn't talk, but with gestures it signals what it approves and what not.

You finished eating around an hour ago and are now laying in the grass, observing the stars above you.

'What moved you to travel around in Teyvat?'

'Besides the classic reason, seeing all sorts of places and people, there is some sort of curiosity for this land. There are so many unsolved mysteries to which I want to find the answers. Also, the questions concerning my ability remain open too.'

Aether turns his head towards you. 'And you family and/or friends? Aren't you sad to leave them behind?'

'My... I don't think that I will see them ever again... They are in a place where I probably won't reach them no matter what I do...'

The blond-haired male quickly looks away. 'I am sorry for asking...'

'He thinks that they are all dead, doesn't he? Not what I meant, but I guess this way I don't have to explain further.'

'You don't have to apologize, really. This is merely one more reason to help you find your sister. It's not too late for you.', you smile at him.

'...Thank you.'

You spend the rest of the night in comfortable silence and fall asleep next to each other.
