Y/N WAS ALWAYS around "non-safe" people" growing up. people who would purposely put her in danger or some kind of trouble.
this caused a lot of trust issues and if you ever broke that trust you would most likely never have that trust ever again.
y/n became friends with sapnap's brother [alex?] y/n and alex trusted each other a lot. their family's were both really close
y/n knew sapnap but they were never really close. they talked a few times but never a lot
— sapnap is talking to alex:
"alex?" sapnap said walking into his room, closing the door. alex looked over with a somewhat concerned facial expression
"please don't be mad at me but-" sapnap started but alex cut him
"if you ate my food i swear bro" he spoke making sapnap shake his head, "no, i like y/n"
alex smiled because he knew y/n started to have some interest in sapnap, "why are you so serious? is there something else?" alex spoke
he personally wanted y/n and sapnap together but he never said anything
"your not mad?, you're her best friend" sapnap said confused, most people would be at least a little annoyed but alex just wasn't which made sapnap a little confused
"ask her out i don't know what you want me to do" alex said, "how do i ask just 'i know we don't talk a lot and your my brothers best friend but wanna go out sometime?'" sapnap said
"yes! say that! i'll write it down for you" alex said grabbing a pen, "no alex! i'll sound like a idiot" sapnap said
"no no, here" alex spoke handing sapnap a piece of paper with what he said
— y/n knocked on the family's door and to her surprise it was sapnap who usually never opened the door
"oh hi sapnap!" y/n spoke, "hi, how are you?" he asked letting y/n in
"i'm okay, oh i bought you something! i saw it and it remind me of you" y/n said opening up her backpack
she pulled out a creeper figure, "i know it's kinda childish but you said you really like minecraft" y/n said handing him the figure
"thank you so much y/n! i actually have a question" sapnap said y/n nodded in response telling him to ask
"i know we're not that close but do you uh you know.. wanna go out sometime as in a uhh a date?" sapnap said very awkwardly
y/n smiled "sure!"
sapnap smiled softly, "does friday work?"
"yes, of course!" y/n said happily, "okay!! i'll pick you up"
— it's been almost a year since all of that happened
"do you wanna go get ice cream?" sapnap said hugging y/n's waist as she washed her hands
sapnap was one of the only people y/n trusted, that made sapnap proud of himself
he felt as if he did his job, sapnap wanted to make y/n feel safe around him and she did
"i love you baby"
