𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆-𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 | confession

LATER THAT DAY, You had met up with Sakura at an Ice cream shop, the two of you had ordered some ice cream and then went to the a park to walk around. At first it was completely silent, until you spoke up

"Hey, Sakura." You said catching her attention, "Yeah?" She looked at you.

"Are you okay? You've been avoiding me this past week.." You asked as you turned to see her avert her eyes from yours "Uh, Yeah.. I'm fine. I didn't mean to avoid you.. I was just.."

"Thinking?" she said unsure

"Thinking? Of what?" You asked

"Something that happened at the Festival, but it's nothing really.." she said, finishing up her ice cream

"Oh, I see." you said, also finishing up your ice cream. The two of you walked in silent, not really sure what to say.

"JUST SAY IT SAKURA!! it can't be that hard.." Sakura thought

"Say something!" she yelled in her mind "Um, so how's your week been?" Sakura spoke up

"Pretty good, what about you?" You asked, "It's been okay.., not much has happened," Sakura replied and asked "Anything new happen?"

"Yeah,  actually.. uh, Sasuke and I are dating now" You started , "We haven't told anyone yet, so you're pretty much the first person to know."  looking at Sakura you saw how tensed she looked, a flash of hurt in her eyes

"I knew this would happen eventually, but damn why does it hurt so much" Sakura said in her mind,feeling her heart ache.

"Oh, wow! I'm so happy for you!" She gave you a closed-eyed grin, but you could tell that there was something wrong

"I shouldn't tell her" Sakura said in her mind

"Is something on your mind" you asked, she looked at you and sighed

"Damn, i can't hide this from her. I have to tell her.. —— but i shouldn't! this is really frustrating!" Sakura argued with herself in her thoughts.

"[Y/N]" She said as you put your full attention on her, "I like you."

you didn't mean to stay silent, it just shocked you to hear that.

"Shit. I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything." Sakura said panicking in the inside. She felt tears begging to build up in her eyes. She turned around to walk away, preventing you to see her face. But before she could go anywhere, you caught her wrist making come to a stop.

"Wait" you spoke out, "Sorry, I was just shocked." you heard her begging to sniffle

"I'm so sorry.. —— I probably ruined everything huh? I didn't mean to" Sakura said in between sobs

"No, No! You didn't ruin anything, Sakura. It's fine" You told her, coming closer to her

"No, it's not. I know, I told you  that the whole flirting thing with you would be a joke and nothing more, but the whole thing just turned into something." Sakura tried her best at explaining

"I'm sorry I told you, but i just couldn't hide it from you anymore. I know you like Sasuke, so I really don't expect you to reciprocate these feelings back" She finished off, letting out a big sigh

"Sakura.." you whispered out

"You probably don't wanna be friends anymore, I would understand if you wouldn't " She mumbled loud enough for you to hear

"Sakura! I still wanna be friends with you!, I'm really sorry I can't return those feelings back. There's other people out there who are way better than me!  You just need to wait til you find the right one" You said wiping her tears with your thumbs

"Er, Sorry i'm really bad at comforting people.." you muttered, she heard this and let out a small giggle

"It's fine.." she said, you smiled at her.

"We should start heading home now.." she suggested, you agreed and the two of you started to go home, keeping a small comfortable conversation going.

The two of you reached Sakura's house first, "Bye Sakura!, see you tomorrow!" you smiled while waving at her as she waved goodbye

"Bye [Y/N]!"

(A/N:) ngl that ending sucked AHAHA, this was supposed come out yesterday, but i fell asleep and didn't wake up until like 12 am, anyways have a good day, thanks for reading.
