"Where are you guys staying?" Emily and I were sitting at her desk catching up on everything I had missed when I was 'dead'. Turns out, she bought a cat. Who would've thought Emily Prentiss could take care of a living thing?

What surprised me the most though was her girlfriend of 5 months. She went on and on about her, showing me pictures of Anna and her together.

Was I jealous? Maybe. But she seems so happy with Anna that I can't complain.

Threesomes are always on the table though.

"I haven't really gotten that far yet." I honestly didn't even think about where Leo and I would stay while we were in Virginia. "I'm not sure how long we'll be here for so I'll probably get a room at that one hotel downtown that Rossi raves about."

"Oo yes. You could probably get him to pay for it too." She replied with a smirk. "You know, you're always welcome to stay at my place as long as you don't mind cats."

"Trust me, you do not want to deal with a four-year-old at your apartment. He's a monster when it comes to waking up in the morning; I mean he throws tantrums about it."

She looked at me with a dumbfounded look. "I seriously can't believe you have a kid. And it's Hotch's kid." She turned to look at a sleeping Leo on the ground next to us. I swear that kid can sleep anywhere. "He kind of looks like him too."

I turned in the same direction as her, watching my lil' bug sleep. "It's crazy how much they're alike for never having met until today. They have the same mannerisms and are both stubborn as hell."

"Well," She said as she stood from her chair, "I'm going to head home before Sergio eats the couch cushions again. Let me know where you end up staying or if you're going to head to my place. Like I said, you're always welcome-  both of you."

"I will, thanks, Em. See you tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow." And with that, she walked out of the glass doors across the room.

I sat there for a few seconds before I heard someone clear their throat behind me. Turning, I saw Hotch standing next to the desk with his coat and briefcase in hand.

"Stay with me." He said quietly, presumably not to wake Leo up. I just gave him a confused look in response. "I overheard you and Prentiss talking. You both can stay with me for however long you need."

"You don't have to do that, Aaron." It made sense why he would offer, but there was still a weird tension between us from things left unsaid.

"I don't mind. I have more than enough space and plus, I'd like to spend some time with him before you leave. If you leave, I mean."

"Are you sure?" I asked with a nervous expression. It would be better than a hotel and a whole lot cheaper. "He can be a handful and I don't want to overst-"

"I'm completely sure." He interrupted.

"Okay."

"Okay."

We both stood here just looking at each other, neither saying a word. There was that weird tension again.

He finally broke the silence that lingered in the air. "I would also like to have that conversation with you if that's alright with you"

"I would like to have that conversation, too."

"I'm headed home now if you'd uh- um like to ride with me." He almost seemed shy when talking to me. Aaron Hotchner was shy.

Weird.

"Yeah just give me a second to get everything together and grab Leo." I said standing from my chair. Anderson had left our bags at the front desk for 'safekeeping' before he left for the night.
