Angela's point of view:

The ringtone of my phone takes over the car speakers,
Is it Spencer again?

Pressing the bluetooth green phone button,
" Hello?".

" Hey. Angela it's me, JJ".

JJ?
Jennifer?
Haven't heard from her in days.

" JJ! How are you? It's been a hot minute" I laugh.

She doesn't laugh.
Instead she clears her throat.

" Are you busy at the moment? Do you think you could meet me at mine?".

This seems serious.
I don't like it.

" Yeah, just stopped in to see Jack, I can be at yours in five.. are you okay?".

" Yep, all good. I'll see you soon!".

She ends the phone call, the confusion in my rising.
Had something happened?

I'm sure she just wants to gossip about things, we haven't hung out in a while.

Pulling into the driveway, to see her standing at the door.
A subtle smile across her face.

She greets me as I step out of the car.

" Come in, I've got coffee brewing" She says.

Smiling, I follow her through the door towards the kitchen.

" Mm, so how's work been!?".

She reaches for the pot of coffee, pouring it into two mugs.

" Average.. work has been average".

My eyebrow raises, " JJ, are you okay?".

" Yep! No, yeah I'm fine, I'm fine" She nods.
" It's just, You and Spencer,
is that, is that a thing now?".

Oh.

" Well, he offered for me to stay with him while I look for somewhere else. Thats all" I clear my throat.

What would he say?

" Yeah I heard that. I just think you should be really careful. Coming from a friend of course. I mean, you don't want to turn out like Maeve" She says.

" Maeve?".

Pressing her lips together in a flat line before, staring at the ground, changing the subject.

" Anyway, i'm just saying be careful.
Every day I realise the risk of working as an fbi agent and how it effects those around me".

" Wait hang on, what happened to Maeve?" I ask.

She shakes her head, " That was a silly pass up comment, sorry. But I've got to go pick up Henry and Michael. Catch up later?".

I nod, a confused look remaining on my face while walking to the door.

" Angela?" She stops me.

Turning to face her, she crookedly smiles.

" Just forget what I said, really it's nothing to worry about".

" Yeah, course. I'll see you later" I say before closing the door behind me.

Walking over to my car and starting the ignition, sitting there for a solid five minutes before beginning to drive.

Almost hitting the curb, twice while pulling into the apartment car park.
My mind clearly not focused on driving.

The same name floating around my head.
Did she live with him before me possibly?
