You Should Be Scared

As soon as she could form a coherent thought Bonnie forced herself away from him. Her entire face heating up as she looked at Lucy. The older witch staring at them in surprise before shaking herself from her stupor.

"You should fix your lipstick, Callon's looking for you" she said, making Bonnie's eyes widen. Grabbing the bottom of her dress she quickly walked over to Lucy, grabbing her hand, and nearly sprinted away without turning back again.

Lucy watched Bonnie as she walked through the crowd of people. Everyone looked at the returning royalty as they walked past. It made Lucy tense up. She'd always had people watch her. She knew that she was beautiful and had a grace every Bennett witch possessed. People stared. Yet those people never knew her and she liked that. She liked the autonomy. She didn't like that these people were scrutinizing them and she needed Bonnie to relax.

As discretely as she could the older witch pulled Bonnie back so that they were walking beside each other. Forcefully slowing the younger witch down. Her eyes watching as realization crossed her face. They were in enemy territory. She needed to look composed at all times.

"Bonnie" Lucy whispered, looking around. Her eyes searching for their 'protector'. Bonnie looked at Lucy for a moment before taking a breath.

"I'm fine, I just- surprised" she said softly. Lucy made a face of disbelief at her cousins words. She was surprised none of them had jumped her before this. She had been waiting for someone to make a move. Lucy supposed Kol would be the one to make the first move. Though she suspected Klaus wouldn't be far behind. Elijah and Finn would probably wait. Wanting to get actual permission first. She couldn't help but wonder what Rebekah would be doing. Lucy supposed the blonde could've just been a flirt but it seemed different with Bonnie.

"I need a drink" Bonnie muttered making her cousin laugh. Linking their arms together she smiled.

"Now that I can do" she told her, as they approached Callon. His eyes looking them over discretely. He could tell something had happened but neither of them seemed injured in any way.

"Are you alright?" He asked, seeing the look in Bonnie's eyes. She hid it well, but he could tell, she was flustered. Bonnie simply nodded at the older man, not wanting to voice anything, afraid of what might come out.

She'd nearly kissed Klaus and then not 5 minutes later she'd kissed Kol. Bonnie frowned at the thought. What was she thinking? What were they thinking? The worst part was, Bonnie felt it deep in her soul, she wanted to do it again, and judging by the look Kol was giving her, so did he.

"Bon" she heard behind her, turning to find Stefan. His eyes searching her face as she looked up at him. He'd heard her heartbeat from across the room. It was beating so wildly he was sure most of the vampires heard it. "Are you okay?" He asked, making the small witch smile at him in reassurance. Even if it was unconvincing.

"Yea, I'm okay, um-walk me to my room?" She asked softly, more than ready to leave. Her thoughts were going down a confusing path and she wasn't sure what she'd do if she continued down it. Stefan was different though. Stefan was safe. Stefan protected her.

"Are you sure princess?" Callon asked, ready to take her there himself. Bonnie nodded at him quickly.

"I'm sure, you stay with Lucy, please" Bonnie asked him softly. Her eyes full of trust. She trusted no one else with the safety of her cousin. He protected her from the minute they met. Seeing this Callon nodded.

"I'll see you in the morning for practice" he said seriously. The small witch pouted at his words. Giving him her best puppy eyes.

"But I'm already here and I have my magic, can't I skip one day?" She asked him, making the man give her a small smirk. Lucy and Stefan shared a look of amusement from behind them. Watching as Callon shook his head.
