I figured there was only one way to find out.

I got up slowly, ignoring the feeling that the room was tilting.

I walked towards the couch and the device became clearer. It was a silver flip phone.

I picked it up.

There was a name flashing there, 'Vicky'.

Victoria.

I answered. "Hello."

"Oh sleeping beauty awakens." She spoke in a dry voice. "I was wondering when you would."

Hearing her voice sent a chill down my spine. "Victoria. Where are my friends? What have you done with them?"

"And here I was thinking you would start by commending me on the great job I did with the place. It took some time to build it up after you and the Cullens burnt it to the ground with the love of my life in here but it was so worth it. Don't you think?"

"Where are my friends?" I repeated, my voice shaky.

"Listen to me, brat. We're going to play a little game." Her voice shot back. "You took my mate away, now I'm going to take yours."

I heard shuffling and then she continued to speak. "Hey, hun, Sophie is on the line. Say hi."

"Sophie." Alec's voice was steady.

"Alec!" My voice was panicked but I was so grateful that he was okay.

"Listen to me. Don't worry about me, little human, run. Save -"

"Aw, how cute." Victoria spoke. "Not. These little heroes in your life, Emmett, Alec..." Victoria sighed. "They all care about you so much don't they?"

"Victoria, please, I'll do anything. Just let him go." I begged.

"You think it's going to be that easy? Darling, you took away the only person who would fight for me. Who I would fight for."

I heard, for the first time, the emotion in her voice.

"I'm sorry, Victoria. From the bottom of my heart, I am sorry. But please, don't hurt him."

Victoria was silent for a little while.

And then she spoke. "Let the games begin."

The door swung open and I felt my heart thud in my chest.

"Find your lover, Sophie. You have ten minutes."

I dropped the phone immediately and stared heading for the door.

I still felt the pain in my leg as I started to walk, limping towards the door, my vision still fuzzy but I needed to move.

I needed to find him.

When I finally made it out the door, I was on the second floor from what it looked like.

And Victoria had been right. The place looked exactly the same.

"Alec!" I called out as I begun stumbling through the halls.

"Alec!" I begged.

I was taken back to the day Aunt Judith had been taken. I felt as helpless as I did now.

Atleast then I had James had been whispering taunts at me.

Now it was quiet. I couldn't hear a peep. I couldn't see clearly and it felt like my head was about to explode.

But I didn't stop.

I needed to save him. I needed to find him.

"Alec!" I screamed.
