The Board Applicant

"You ready Louie?"asked Emilie.
"Sure am."answered Louie.Both of them were sitting at a table that was more befitting a reality show like talent show.
"Okay,first up,Brigitta MacBridge."said Emilie.
"I'm already here."said Brigitta,clearly confused. "And I'm the only one here."
"Right.So why do you want to work for McDuck Enterprises?"asked Louie.
"Because I want to work alongside Scrooge McDuck."
"And why do you want to work alongside Mr.McDuck?"asked Emilie suspiciously.
"I think it'll be a better business opportunity for me."said Brigitta.Emilie decided to look through Brigitta's paperwork.
"It says here that you used to work with somebody named Jubal Pomp."
"Yes. I thought I could do better on my own.His business ideas always failed."
"I see."said Emilie,who suddenly turned to Louie while using Brigitta's paperwork to cover their conversation."Louie, I don't trust her. I think she has an ulterior motive for wanting to work for Mr.McDuck."
"Look,we both looked into her.She's clean.All she has to do is pass the 'adventure test' then she's in."argued Louie."Besides the only other person who applied for the board job is Zenith, and you turned her down!"
"I was looking at her through Mr.McDuck's point of view.Her husband,Gibbous,works for Glomgold.Who's to say Zenith won't tell Gibbous who'll tell tell Glomgold?"
"They're really nice people!"
"I didn't say that it would be out of malice!You know how manipulative Glomgold can be. Neither Zenith or Gibbous would realize what harm that they're doing."
"Alright!Alright! I see your point.But Brigitta's clean!You'r just being paranoid."
"Yeah. I guess."said Emilie.But Emilie couldn't help but feel that she was right about Brigitta.She had an ulterior motive for wanting the board position.
Emilie took Brigitta's paperwork away from her,and Louie's face, and noticed that Brigitta looked nervous.Had she heard everything Emilie said about her?After all,it was only the three of them in the room, and it was quiet.So,it would be easy for Brigitta to overhear Emilie's-distrust-of her.
"Okay,Brigitta,can I call you Brigitta?"asked Emilie.
"Yeah."said Brigitta.
"Okay.Good.Well,before I can give you the job there's one more thing you have to do."
"Anything!"
"You have to complete Gyro's 'adventure test'."
"Adventure test?"
"Yes. 'Adventure test'."said Emilie as she,and Louie got up, and urged Brigitta to follow them. "The Duck family has a tendency to get themselves into trouble, and the people who associate with them usually get caught up in the trouble."
"But Scroo- I mean Mr.McDuck always wins."
"Yeah,but Uncle Scrooge doesn't win by himself.He wins with help from his family, and friends."said Louie.
"Of course he does."said Brigitta.Emilie couldn't help but notice that Brigitta sounded a bit condescending in her response.Like she only agreed with Louie to humor him,or something.
"Okay,here we are!"said Emilie when they arrived at the lab. "Brigitta,met Dr.Gryo Gearloose, and Dr.Fenton Crackshell Crabra.They're the ones who designed the 'adventure test'."
"We prefer to call it an 'adventure stimulation'."said Gryo.
"Would you like to know how it works?"asked Fenton.
"Yes."said Brigitta.
"No."said Emilie the same time Brigitta said 'Yes'.The two women looked at each other.
"We'll explain it to you in 'layman's terms'."said Gryo,using air quotes around the words layman's terms. "You,Blondie,will put on one of the upgraded Gizmo Cloud's vr helmets, and the rest of us will put you in the most dangerous situations that we have been in.Any questions?"
"Don't think so."said Brigitta.
"Close enough.Now put this on."said Gyro pushing the Gizmo Cloud vr helmet onto Brigitta.
"Okay,let the stimulation begin."said Fenton pushing a button on a machine.
"Is this safe?"asked Louie.
"Now you ask that?"commented Emilie.
"It's safe.....enough."said Gyro.
"First up,The Shadow War!"said Fenton.Fenton,Gyro,Emilie, and Louie looked at screen to watch Brigitta fight off the virtual shadows.
"Wow,she's good."said Emilie.
"No kidding."said Louie.
"Should I let her out now?"asked Fenton.
"No, I want her to complete this."said Emilie.
"Good,because Blondie is a test subject."said Gyro.
"What?"said Emilie,and Louie.
"Nothing."said Gryo.Eventually Brigitta finished the first part of the stimulation by defeating the virtual shadows.
"Now the Moonvasion!"said Fenton pushing a different button then before on the machine.
"It's going to be hard to beat this one.Those Moonlanders were tough."said Emilie.
"I know,they had a very well thought out plan."said Gyro.
"But we won."said Louie.
"But Brigitta's on her own,we weren't."Fenton pointed out.But like before,Brigitta finished the second part by defeating her virtual foes.
"Well,on to virtual F.O.W.L."said Fenton.
"Maybe this is too easy."said Gyro. "We should increase the danger."
"What exactly does this upgrade do?"asked Emilie.
"It puts people in environments that are needed for work."said Fenton.
"So,it gets people ready for the job that they want,or the work force in general?"
"Obviously."said Gyro.
"Strange that part of this job is defending yourself from people who want to destroy you."said Louie.
"Annnnd.....Brigitta's finished."said Fenton.
"You mean that Virtual F.O.W.L. destroyed her?"said Emilie.
"No,she destroyed them."
"Wow,she must of really wanted this job."said Louie.
"Okay,Blondie,take the vr helmet off."said Gyro.Brigitta took off the helmet.
"How did I do?"Brigitta asked.
"Great!"said Fenton,which was true,it only took her a half a hour to get through all three stimulations.Emilie was concerned it would take her longer,if she actually succeeded.
"You proved to us we need to improve the Gizmo Cloud."said Gyro.
"So,did,or didn't I get the job?"asked Brigitta.
"You did."said Emilie.
"Eeeeeee!"shrieked Brigitta.
'Oh god,she's one of those girls.' thought Emilie.
"But be warned,Brigitta-I.Will.Be.Watching.Your.Every.Move."said Emilie as she leaned into Brigitta.Brigitta simply nodded,no longer looking perky, and happy.Brigitta now looked serious, and a little frightened.
"Good,I'm glad you understand."said Emilie clasping her hands together,then unclasping them. "Come Louie,we're done here."
