Chapter Two: Reuniting

The woods around me seemed mostly empty. There wasn't anything of interest. But it did show me two things.

The first was I did not need to eat or drink. I knew that since I wasn't thirsty after walking for nearly four hours. And my stomach didn't growl. But checking with a random fruit I tried my best to see if it wasn't poisonous.

And nothing felt odd. So it was okay to eat. I should probably make sure that nothing was poisonous yet before I tried it again.

And the second was I didn't need to sleep. After some effort I climbed up into a tree but I didn't fall asleep through the whole night.

So my new body was very useful... That was great. No sleeping or eating would give me tons of free time.

And now I was just wandering through the forest again. But I immediately stopped when I felt..... A giant looking presence behind me.

I'm snapped back around towards where this feeling originated from. But what I saw was...

A slime? But this slime gave me a worse feeling then anything I could ever feel. My throat ran dry and I struggled to move.

But it was surprisingly easy to move again... Was that because if paralysis resistance? But either way I knew one thing.

If I could move I was going to run away from the slime. But just as I started to turn it made some sort of breathing sound.

Slime?: "HELLO! IT IS NICE TO MEET YOU!"

I couldn't help but cover my ears. Gods-! It felt like my eardrums just exploded.

Y/n: "Keep it down! That's way too loud!" I shouted back stomping my foot still looking at the slime.

And this actually made them move back a bit... Why would they do that? They gave me this feeling of dread yet me just raising my voice did that?

That either meant they were meak or they weren't actually that strong... Bit either way when it spoke this time it was a much more manageable volume.

Slime: "Sorry. Is this better?" They asked.

I pulled my hands from my head and nodded slowly.

Y/n: "Much... But seriously... I got stabbed and now I have to deal with some sort of boss slime..." I said sighing reaching up rubbing my forehead.

Slime: "You... Got stabbed?" The slime asked.

Y/n: "Yeah... And by some random guy no less." I said nodding.

Slime: "... Japan." It said.

What...? Why would a slime know about Japan? What if... It wasn't a normal slime?

Y/n: "Kyoto." I said back simply.

Slime: "... Did you get reincarnated too?" It asked.

Y/n: "... Are you the woman I pushed out of the way?" I asked in response since it was dumb to answer. It was obvious.

Slime: "That's the one... But didn't you look more... Normal?"

Y/n: "And you looked more human." I countered back.

Slime: "Fair enough." It said with a little bounce that seemed to be a slimes version of nod.

Y/n: "... How did you become so... Scary so soon?" I asked.

Slime: "Well... That's a long story..." It said.

Y/n: "I have time." I said shrugging.

Y/n: "...You. Ate. A. Fucking. Dragon?!" I asked looking at the slime- who I now knew as Rimuru.

Rimuru: "Yep... Told you it was a long story." She said with another bounce nod.

Y/n: "... The biggest thing I did was change forms a tiny bit." I said shaking my head.

Rimuru: "Well... I wish you could've met him. He was a pretty nice. And a total tsundere."

Y/n: "Yeah... Well... What should we do while we're here? In this world I mean." I asked crossing my legs.

Rimuru: "What do you mean by that?"

Y/n: "Well I don't think we're going to be able to go back to our world anytime soon? Right? Then why don't we have a plan?" I asked.

Rimuru: "Well... That could be fun after all."

I couldn't help but smile a bit. Of course it would be fun! I'd make sure of it.

Y/n: "Yes! Then how about we try to bring some things from our world into this one?" I suggested snapping.

Rimuru: "Do you even know how to make most of the technology there with what we have here? I don't exactly see any stores or do it for dummies books."

Y/n: "... I did not think about that. But can we just focus on others? Like foods... Strategies. It's a lot harder to think about this then I thought..." I said.

Rimuru: "Agreed... Maybe the assembly line and Monopoly? We could use those to practically rule the merchant side of the world."

Y/n: "That's a good idea! We'll have to keep that in mind. Though we'd need manpower and a way to buy that stuff. Where would we find that?"

Rimuru:"... I think the answer to that is behind you." She said stretching a bit to look around me.

And of course I saw a couple dozen goblins... But unlike the usual unintelligent monsters these ones looked more like... People? They did have expressions after all.

But I noted right away they looked afraid. Just like I did when I first saw Rimuru... Hmm...

Y/n: "Lemme handle this one Rimuru. Kay?" I asked looking towards the slime.

The slime didn't say anything and I stood up making my clothes flourish a bit more. Good. Now I was presentable. Next I had to walk correctly.

I held my head high walking with both hands held behind my back as I looked at the goblins.

It was a bit difficult to manage the stare of superiority right but luckily I think I got it correct.

The one to speak up was and elder goblin who looked like he'd fall over at a strong gust of wind.

Elder: "Oh servant of the great one... Please help our people. We beg of you." He said his hands shaking around his cane.

So they thought I was Rimuru's servant... Interesting. I could play onto that.

Y/n: "Why should me and my master help you? After all we do not know you or your people."

Elder: "We will do anything you want! We just want our well being!"

I pretended to look back at Rimuru. A small question mark appeared out of her slime. Good. She did something that looked like a signal.

Y/n: "My master says that we will aid you... But we expect you to keep your end of the promise. Understood?" I asked looking back at him struggling to keep my face calm.

Elder: "Of course!" He said with some drive that surprised me.

Good... Looks like my acting worked well. I had a feeling I'd be doing a lot of it in this world.
