Noor released the phone from her grasp as it fell on the floor, absolutely shocked as an audible gasp escaped her lips. She hadn't realized her body was shaking profusely, her lips were trembling. She couldn't register what was happening, her mind was in a whirlwind of emotions

She heard weird noises at the door, like someone was trying to open it and finally the person opened the door and stepped inside

He looked disheveled, with his hair sticking everywhere and eyes bloodshot red. He looked like he hadn't slept in days, like a car ran over him several times

He was in pretty much bad shape. She knew for a fact that was definitely not in the state he left

Well so are you, her conscience reminded her

Seeing the state she was, still shaking and her eyes mirrored his, bloodshot red. He took a step closer to her "Noor" He breathed out

She used her right palm to stop him, and he stopped right in his tracks. She quickly picked up her phone from the floor and shoved it in his face

Nabeel was obviously shocked, because he stumbled backwards and his hands flew to his mouth, a sound gasp escaping his lips

She shook her head and smiled bitterly "I should've known, a leopard never changes it's spots"

Still in utter shock, he stepped closer and called her name "Noor please!"

She raised her palm yet again, stopping him from approaching her "Don't, please don't!" And with that she walked out on him, half running to her room

Noor stepped into her room and burst into tears. Her back slid against the cold wall, her body trembling. At that exact moment, she couldn't exactly pin point what she was feeling, but she felt as if her heart had been butchered into a million pieces

She felt numb, every inch of her body was aching. Devastated; shattered, that's what she felt

Just when she was starting to think her life was slowly falling in place, then everything just skyrocketed and came crumbling down

She was so engrossed in her own pain that she hadn't realized Nabeel came into the room. He reached out and touched her back and she immediately flinched "Don't touch me, please" She pleaded in a low voice

He withdrew his hands shakily "Noor please listen to me"

"Nabeel" She warned "Please Just go. I need you to leave, I'm begging you"

He released a strangled breath "I just need to explain to you, please" He whispered the last part

"No I don't need your explanation just get out" But Nabeel was adamant "If you just let me explain to..."

She didn't let him complete his sentence "I just need space. Get out Nabeel!" Her eyes were brimming with unshed tears, they rolled down her cheeks unannounced and she let them flow freely

She felt claustrophobic, the walls were slowly closing in on her

Noor rarely cried, and when she did, all he wanted was to see her smile again. To see that glow in her eyes, to see her carefree laugh again, to see her happy again

"Noor please!"

Noor was practically seething, and you could feel her anger radiating off her in waves. She forced out through gritted teeth "Just. get. the. HELL. out.!" Her voice was calm yet laced with so much anger, she enunciated each and every word
