Chapter 9: Coming Back to You

I blinked out of the way before she could shoot me.

The Handler aimed the gun out the door.

"It's Dot!" she yelled before hitting the alarm button.

Gloria crawled out and Dot helped her out.

I shoved a cart at her, and she started shooting, but I blinked out of the way.

"What's the rush, Five? We're just getting started. Is this really how you want the last line of your report to read?"

I blinked in front of her, "When I'm done, I'm done, I guess."

"You can't keep this up, Five. We both know that even you have a limit," she said, "I saved you from a lifetime of being alone. You owe me."

She goes to shoot, but she's out of ammo.

I smirk, "I do owe a debt."

I blinked outside with a grenade in my hand, "But it's not to you."

I took out the pin and waved the grenade before rolling it at her.

"Shit..." she said.

I take cover as the grenade explodes. Then I blinked to the briefcase room. I set the date on one of them before pulling the pin out of another grenade and tossing it on the shelf.

"I'm coming, Y/N," I ran out of the room.

"Hey, what are you doing-"

The room explodes.

Shit.

I quickly open the briefcase and appear on the bar at the academy.

"Je-Jesus," Allison said.

"You guys, am I still high, or do you see him too?" Klaus asked.

"Five, where have you been?" Luther asked as he helped me down.

"Are you alright?" Allison asked.

"Who did this?" Luther asked.

I snatched Allison's coffee, "Irrelevant."

I walked to the middle of the room while chugging the coffee I turn around to look at my siblings. Y/N's missing.

"Where's Y/N? I need to talk to all of you," I said.

They all looked at each other.

I don't like those looks...

"After you left um..." Luther said.

"Y/N's in a coma again," Diego said.

Oh my god!

I dropped the coffee cup and blinked to her room to see her just starting to wake up.

How did I not think about her going into another coma if I left?

I sat on the end of her bed and took her hand, "Hey."

"Five?" she asked.

"I'm here,' I said.

She sat up, "where did you go? You promised you weren't going to leave again!"

I hugged her, "I know. I'm sorry. I went back to the commission to get more information about the apocalypse."

"Did you?" she asked.

"I did. We have to go downstairs so I can tell you all," I said.

"Okay," she nodded.

I helped her up and blinked us downstairs.
