chapter 17: true strength

Sayuki s pov

As much pride as I had in my abilities , I still took time to train  ,with the help of my inner friends.

Days filled with intense training, sleepless nights , afternoons filled with meditation.

The day finally came.

Sasuke POV

As I stood in a room filled with different ninja s from various villages , i discretely measured their strength  and like I thought , there was no competition

My sister however might be a problem , but in all honesty she is the last thing on my mind  ,the odd feeling in my stomach kept growing , and I kept feeling more and more anxious.

I suddenly heard the announcer greet people , telling me it was time the chunin exams began

"Now for the first round we have Sayuki Uchiha versus Kaoto Komori"

Then there was a roar of applause , I honestly didn't expect to go first but I have no choice

Sighing I walked in the dome like ring . The person I was supposed to fight walked towards me.

He looked too confident for his own good , with a smug smirk on his rather ugly face , as we were only inches away

"Hey , you know your cute , after you lose I'll happily take you out , at least it will be a win win , but of course more for you that me , I mean look at me" he said with such arrogance I almost removed the smug look right there and then.. I heard laughter from the crowd while my fam boys glared and shouted unsaintly words at the stupid ninja ....what's his name

I only 'tch'ed and walked to my side of the dome , i heard him growl

The announce stood between us

"Ready , begin"

With that he jumped to a safe distance , and almost immediate the boy sprinted towards me with a kunia in hand .

I observed his movements and from the looks of it his tight hand is weaker , his left foot is heavier , meaning he had broken it at a younger age.

With that i dogged an attack , by jumping in the air , he threw his kunia towards my direction while I'm still in the air

'He's fast'

Dodging it again , I landed swiftly on one leg and as fast as sound , I body flicker in front of him , before lunging my foot at his face , successfully getting a blow in

But he got on his feet faster than enticipated .  He made hand signed

'Water style , serpent whip'

Then his hand turned to a snake like water whip , I rolled my eyes at the obvious name

His left foot took on more weight , I WS about to wait and see exactly what he can do  but  the feeling in my stomach returned but it was stronger and a whole lot closer

I let out a sigh "time to end this trivial game"

With that I lunged forward , easily blocking the futile attack. 

Sasuke s POV

I watched Sayuki fight and I could tell a lot of people were paying attention to her movement and skill , especially naruto , he wanted to know her skill and its extend , I mean I did too but I also want to know her.

Sayuki then lunged forward , and dodged every attack.  She was now in the clear , her target was close , she formed a fist and threw it at Koata , but as it was inches away from hitting its prey , Sayuki body flickered and was gone.

My eyes went wide , 'where did she go'

The stadium was gilled with gasps and whispers

Koata looked from left to right trying to locate her but tat proved futile

Then she appeared behind him and kicked high in the sky , before disappearing and appearing in the direction he was hurdling towards , she  punched him  , throwing him back to the ground but as he was inched off the ground she did the same thing , throwing him straight up

But instead of going up , she readied her fist and as he came down Sayuki punched him towards the stadium walls. He hit the wall with a loud 'thud' and his body limply fell to the floor , before he tried to get up with shaky hands before , finally excepting defeat.

The stadium was dead quiet and looks of shock were written on their faces .

I understood why though , Sayuki was known to be an average in class , in skill and any thing else , while Koata was known to pass with the highest narks in the doing village , the match was already set as a loss for Sayuki but she somehow was able to defeat home , in less than 20 minutes nonetheless

But in honesty I feel proud , I want what's best for her , so as she trained to get stronger , and have someone who understands her , then maybe just maybe her future won't be similar to mine , I will do everything in my power to make sure of that .
Sayuki has more hated in her , that why I fear she might make decisions she will with out a doubt regret.

Then out of no where the crowd screamed and clapped their hands excitedly as Sayuki was announced the winner. I could help but let a small smile grace my features.
