The whole campus of King's Creek High School had gone silent as every student had gone into mourning as the Death of Claudette Spencer spread through the town, all the students had gathered in the auditorium, "we have all heard about the tragic death of Claudette Spencer, she will be missed by each and everyone in this community that has meet Claudette will miss her." The woman at the podium looked down, "her death has rocked this campus and with Alexis Parkinson in the hospital from being attacked by the same animal that kill Miss Spencer," Principal Leslie Goddard looked from the seated students to the four people sitting behind her, "I have organised for our school councillors and school psychologist to be available for each and everyone of you at anytime of the day to come come and speak with them about this tragic event," Principal Goddard said.

Willa sat in the auditorium beside, Tessa on her left and Reuben to her right. Willa looked around the auditorium, Willa stopped when she spotted the group of girls which were on the cheerleading squad, Camille, Ashleigh Thomas, Maggie Clark, Amy Morton, Finn Masters, Claire Silby, Channon King and Noah Vincent. Camille was cuddling Ashleigh as she sobbed into her chest.

Willa looked away from them and then turned her attention turned towards Reuben. Reuben was looking at her, "is everything alright?" Reuben asked.

Willa nodded and she extended her left hand towards Tessa, Willa grabbed Tessa's hand. "Finally I would like to announce that Coach Hardwick and our team the King's Creek Loggers are still going to be holding the pep rally in two weeks time," Principal Goddard said.

"Fuck yeah," Brent Delvaux called from the back of the room.

"What your language, Mr Delvaux," Principal Goddard placed her hands onto the podium, "Now students will make there way to there first classes of the day," Principal Goddard said as she released the students. Willa, Tessa and Reuben rose from the chairs and exited the auditorium.

Sheriff Weisz was standing in the glass room, which was the Autopsy examination room. Sheriff Weisz was standing between five metal tables which rested the remains of Phillip William Ames DOB 20/03/1992, Lauren Elizabeth Seaver DOB 18/05/1993, Claudette Louise Spencer DOB 01/09/1997, Tyler Brian Billings DOB 09/06/1980 and Natasha Samantha Wilson-Billings DOB 04/01/1981. Sheriff Weisz looked at the men and woman before her, "all have been drained of their blood?" Sheriff Weisz asked.

"Yes," medical examiner Dr Lisa Coplin exited a store room and walked into the autopsy room, "each has lost their entire blood supply," Lisa Coplin said.

"Can you positivity prove?" Sheriff Weisz asked.

Lisa looked to Sheriff Weisz, "yes," Lisa Coplin said.

Sheriff Weisz looked down to the floor then to the victims on the tables of the King's Creek Morgue, "would you be able to tell Mayor Delvaux and the others?" Sheriff Weisz asked.

"Yes, I can come to the conclusion that my findings prove that Vampires have returned to King's Creek but I will not be telling the Mayor till the next meeting," Lisa Coplin said.

Sheriff Weisz crossed her arms, she wanted to inform everyone now, let them know that the streets were not safe for people.

Willa was walking across the courtyard towards her car, she walked passed Kyle as he was leaving, "hey Kyle," Willa said.

"Hey Wil," Kyle said.

Willa stopped before Kyle and he looked at her, "how is Alexis?" Willa asked.

"She is going to be fine? Dr Silby is planning to release her the day after tomorrow," Kyle said.

"That's great Kyle, has she said what attacked her?" Willa asked.

Kyle nodded, "yeah, she said that she was attacked by a vampire," Kyle said.

"A vampire? That's strange," Willa said.

"Yeah I know right," Kyle looked passed Willa. Willa turned her head to see what he was looking at but she rolled her eyes and looked back to Kyle, "so what is with you and the new kid?" Kyle asked.

Willa shrugged, "I don't know," Willa said.

"Just watch yourself around him, Willa. I don't trust him," Kyle said.

"Come on Kyle you hardly know him," Willa said.

Kyle looked to Willa, "and you know him better then I do?" Kyle asked.

Willa shrugged again, "maybe, we do have a couple of classes together," Willa said.

"I just don't have a good feeling about him, please Wil just watch yourself while around him," Kyle said.

"Your jealous, Kyle," Willa said.

"No, I'm going to head back to the hospital" Kyle said and he walked away from Willa and over to his car, a ford ranger twin cab ute.

Willa shook her head and she turned towards the table which Reuben had been sitting at before but he was gone.

Sophia was sitting in the large living room of the Levinson house, she had found Reuben's bag for school, she had started going through it, she had a notebook open as she was lying on the couch.

James walked onto the room, he was heading for the kitchen but he stopped and looked down at Sophia on the couch, "Oh James, I can read your tension from here, It is the elephant in the room," James looked from his left to right then back to Sophia, "just ask what is on your mind," Sophia said.

"Why are you here Aunt Sophia?" James asked.

"Why would Reuben want to go back to high school, I hated high school but college was fun. I went to Harvard," Sophia pursed and looked to the left, "no I think it might have been Georgetown or was it Penn State," Sophia said to herself.

"Aunt Sophia," James said.

"Apologies James," Sophia stopped to think and then she pointed a finger to James, "what was the question again?" Sophia asked.

"Why are you here Aunt Sophia?" James asked.

Sophia smiled and rose from the couch, "I have come to spend some family time with my nephew," Sophia looked to James, "and don't call me aunt Sophia that makes me sound old," Sophia said.

"But you are," James said.

"I'm only 18," Sophia said.

James laughed, "Aunt Sophia you were 18 in 1866," James said.

"Don't reminded me of my age," James rolled his eyes as Sophia lunged from the couch and grabbed James by the throat and she lifted him off the floor, "what is with the interrogation?" Sophia asked.

"I....didn't......mean.......to.......upset.........you," James chocked out.

"What the hell are you doing Sophia," Reuben said. Sophia and James looked towards the door to the Reuben standing in the doorway.

"You look drained little brother have you been using your abilities," Sophia dropped her grip on James, james fell to the floor, "where have you been little brother?" Sophia asked.

"I was at the hospital cleaning up your mess," Reuben said.

"Why?" Sophia asked.

"Because Alexis Parkinson told her brother that she was attacked by a vampire and I'm protecting your ass," Reuben said.

"Ain't you a good brother to protect me," Sophia said as she walked out of the room.

Reuben raced over to James as he was on his hands and knees coughing, "why can't you stop her?" James asked.

"Because nephew for me to stop her I have to drink human blood to become the demon, she is," Reuben said.

"What if their was another way?" James asked.

"What do you mean?" Reuben asked,

"You do your homework and I'll come up to you when I've got it," James said as he rose and exited the room. Reuben watched his nephew leave, Reuben shrugged before grabbing his bag and dashing up the stairs to his room.
