Waiting for Ai to recover

            Hirozaku and Kaoru return home and are both exhausted. "Welcome home, you two. Did you guys have a good day?" Asks Rin to the boys. "Yeah. We had an eventful time." Hiro responds. Hiro notices Unsho. "Hey Hiro. Come over here, I wanna take a small walk with you if you don't mind, try to get to know one another a little." Unsho says. Hiro thinks for a bit and theorizes that he may get another Zodiac link. "Ok. Kaoru, go wait upstairs, I'll be there soon." Hiro tells Kaoru. "Ok." Kaoru goes up stairs and Hiro follows Unsho outside the place. The quiet and calm outdoors sounds very peaceful and quiet. "Listen, Hiro, I know that this feels awkward for you, but I wanna try to get to know you a little bit." Unsho says. "Oh no, it's cool, I get it. Honestly, half the time, I don't know what to say when we're together." Hiro responds causing Unsho to chuckle. "Yeah. Well, maybe we can go about your school life? I've heard that you joined the archery club. I know an officer who's niece attends the club. What a surprise." Unsho says, starting some conversation. "Yeah, thought it be a good use of my time, build my dexterity." Hiro says. "Well, that's good." Unsho responds. They get rather quiet again, still in the awkward atmosphere. 'I should say whatever the hell comes to mind. This is awkward as shit!' Hiro thinks. "So uhhh How did you and ma meet?" Hiro asks. "Where do I start? Well, first off, we met at a small restaurant by your mom's work. Aiya's, it's a ramen restaurant that is by several other restaurant places such as Gatten Sushi, Shiraishi Ramen, Hagakure Ramen, Umiushi, Big Bang Burger, there are a lot of food shops. It's a really popular get together place for your friends because it's a perfect way to get nostalgic. It's in Natsuka shopping district." Unsho explains. "Huh... Note to self, find the time to go there." Hiro says to himself outloud. "Yeah, so anyway, she would often go there very often for work, and from what I recall, you are from Inaba, right? That's really far from here but she makes it work. Then one day... I saw her crying." Unsho says, which caught Hiro's attention. "I'd say this was in the midst of your mother's divorce and I saw her eating by herself. What else I saw... I saw tears coming down her face. I went to comfort her and she just let me all have it. All of what was causing her some problems. She started saying how your father was rude, not the same man that she's married years ago, and most of all, she was worried about you." "Ma... cried about me?" "Yes, she knows that you have a hard time behaving yourself. However, she just wants to do what she can for you. If your time with your father caused you to go like this, imagine a divorce. She managed to find a way to get you to live with her." Unsho explains. "At the end of the session, your father was very angry with the results, asking such questions as "why would you hurt our son this way?" or "he is going to hate your guts because of your selfishness!" all that drama. Revealing why she wanted a divorce in the first place." Unsho continues. "How do you know all this? When that happened, I was maybe like in 6th grade when I went to another house. I was really sick and had no idea what was going on." Hiro says. "Well, she confided in me little by little. I still remember when you and I first met. You gave me quite a scary glare." Unsho says with a slight smile. "Yeah, well... call me cliché, or hell, call me sexist if you want, it'd be accurate from what I'm about to tell ya, but I never was up for a stepparent. Especially a stepmother. Probably due to a crap ton of Cinderella stories that I have seen. It always winds up with a stepmother doing some crooked shit to her stepdaughter and seeing that often on repeat, it kinda was imbedded in my mind that every stepmother was a bitch. Of course, nowadays, I'm more skeptical than anything else cause that's just some stupid theory, but... it's more like I'm worried of what may happen. For all I know, it could be a repeat of the past." Hiro confides, letting go of some internal issues of his own. Unsho smiles and puts a hand on Hiro's shoulder. "Listen, Hiro. I will do my best of being a father figure. I know that it's too soon for me to take your mother's hand in marriage, but I will do what I can for you. I won't be perfect, but I will try." Unsho tells Hirozaku. Hirozaku starts to feel some trust in this guy, like he could tell him anything. As usual, time stops
