"Look, if my experiences with girls has taught me one thing.." He started, but you cocked a brow and gave him a glare. He looked back at you, seeing an angry glint in your gaze. Slowly, he retreated, but looked to Ethan with a nervous smile, "it's that you can't get anywhere by talking to 'em. Never works for me." Benny shrugged.
"Makes sense," Ethan whispered back.
You leaned over and slapped Benny's shoulder. He dropped his mouth open and released a silent wince as he held his arm, as a way to ease the pain.
"You do that again and I'll be hiting something else really hard," You warned. "Don't give him advice like that, dork."
"Guys," Ethan whispered softly and caused the two of you to look his way in sync, "How are we going to get the Lucifractor?" You thought for a second and before you could come up with an idea, Benny held up a small silver ring with a black gem in the center of it.
"Bam.. Projection Ring. Stern swiped this from me before I had a chance to try it out. But I palmed it when we got busted this morning," He bit his lip and smirked as he glanced between the two of you. You smiled and felt your face flush as he wiggled his brows at you.
"So what.. you put it on, and you can look like anyone?" You asked quietly.
"Yeah. Who's gonna stop Stern from walking into his own office?" Benny smiled. You and Ethan nodded, seeing as it was a fairly simple plan that could work effortlessly.
You gently placed your hand onto his shoulder and leaned in, "Try not to make it too out of Stern's character, okay?" Benny nodded with a boyish grin as you giggled lightly and sat back in your seat.
.
Wearing the projection ring, Benny's physical appearance had been transformed into Vice Principal Stern, walking down the hall with confidence in each strut. He pointed to several students walking down the hall, "Detention. Super detention. Weak hat. Be.. better at learning."
He stopped in his tracks and looked at a couple footballs players who were leaned against a row of lockers. He walked towards one of them, causing them to both back up against the lockers. "You think you're so cool, Brady. So cool.. and you're mean to Benny Weir when it's obvious that he is way more awesome than you. You're off the football team.. forever! Deal with it!" Benny released a laugh as he walked off down the hall towards Stern's office.
When he entered, he looked around at several students seated in the lobby of the office, "You, you're all off the hook." They all smiled widely and exited the office with their anxieties released from their shoulders.
"Secretary lady, you work too hard. Take the day off," Benny leaned his hands against the countertop and looked at the young lady behind the it. She wasted no time before exiting the office with her jacket and bag. Benny took the opportunity to walk through into Stern's office with a smile. His smile faded when he turned to see Stern seated against his desk, with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Oh.. Hi.." Benny breathed out.
"Hello," Stern replied flatly.
"I thought you'd be handing out detentions to the late-lunchers," He shakily said.
"I made my quota yesterday," Stern said.
