🌸 Well to start things off. He's not just any kind of boyfriend. He is THE ultimate boyfriend, I mean, that's what he was made for! It is to be expected!

🌸 But you know what else is? Lots, lots, LOTS of affection.

🌸 Let's take physical for example. Being a game character his whole life prior to you freeing him, then suddenly developing a body, it's just like being a fully sentient newborn. In case you weren't aware, babies need lots of loving touch or they die. That's one of the things he has in common with them. /hj

🌸 He just LOVES hugging you, kissing you, holding your hand, playing with your hair... He does it for your sake, of course! He wants you to feel loved and get the amount of skin-to-skin contact humans need and more! But he also does it for himself, because he's just so awestruck by the sensation and can't believe he gets to finally, finally experience you physically.

🌸 If you're touch averse or uncomfortable with what he's doing, he'll tone it down of course. He has to make a conscious effort to not be hanging off of you at all times, but he's entirely willing to do so. If anything, it makes the rare moments you do let him touch you all the more precious.

🌸 And when you turn the tables... hoo boy. Giving comes naturally, almost gracefully, with a minimal amount of blushing. But when he's on the receiving end, he oh so easily turns into a squealing red mess. You wanna kiss his hand, like he does to you whenever he gets the chance? No, you're not dating a white boy anymore, you're dating a tomato. For bonus points, make eye contact while you're doing it, even if it's just to see that adorable lovestruck grin on his face. Or maybe you wanna hold him in your arms tenderly under soft blankets, his head on your chest, brushing a strand of hair aside to place a gentle kiss on his forehead? Please do, he'll fvcking sob. /hj

🌸 I mean, he's done every romantic gesture in the book. Aside from physicalities, there were the bouquets, the love letters, the heartfelt gifts (some simple trinkets or sweets, others so expensive you wonder where he got the money), the serenades (his voice is so beautiful, those are gifts in and of themselves)... But the fact that you may return his affections in the very same ways doesn't make it feel any less special. Quite the contrary! All the things you do to reassure him that you care about him as much as he cares about you, no matter how big or small, make him fall a bit deeper in love with you.

🌸 He spoils you absolutely rotten, whether he has the financial means to do so or not. You could ask him for nearly anything and he'd do his damnedest to grant your request! This is no Senpai we're talking about, this is a Simpai.

🌸 Speaking of names: if you've given him one that is not some silly inside joke, but a genuine name you picked for him, whether in your game-playing days or later on, he's going to cherish it. So much so that he might end up going by that in the real world. Only you have ever cared to give such a personal, unique gift to him, and it just feels so right when you call him by it.

🌸 And you may come to yell it a lot, because he's simultaneously the most polite young man in the world and an unhinged vulgar bastard.

🌸 Usually he is annoyingly eloquent. (It definitely has to do with some sort of complex, which is a story for another time.) But he's a bit of a sore loser too. Up until he left the game for good, things have almost always gone his way, and when it's all you've ever known you get used to that. Thus when he gets frustrated enough, he'll break out in language that would put any professional preteen cyberbully to shame.
