Before we start, I would like to just tell you some things.

My name is Malvin James Camille. I imagine that your reaction varies depending on who you are. If you're a mage, you're wanting to burn this book. If you're a vampire, werewolf, or witch/warlock, then you're wanting justice, which I'm attempting right now, writing this. If you're human, I don't know what you want to do, but be careful out there.

I'm writing this book because I think it's time for our voices to be heard. History isn't wrong about vampires and the others, some stories are true, but not all of us are like that. That's why I'm here. I am ready to write this. Stick with me though. I'm getting help with this, but this is the longest thing I've written since the 5 paged reports for school.

Now that I have said that, let's get to it.

********************************************************************************

The most relevant beginning is on the honeymoon. My life was a wreck, and this honeymoon was a pretty good example of this. This was my stepdad's honeymoon with my stepmom. Simply put, my Mom married a rich, snobby jerk that cheated on her constantly so she could pay the medical bills for the sick, 12-year-old me and nothing more. Luckily, I got better for the first time in 4 years, and life was annoying but stable for the first time in my memory. Then, she died. An accident, the police said. I couldn't have been sure of otherwise, but a judge ruled for me to stay with my unofficial stepdad.

It just so happened to be 3 weeks before the beginning of school in the US, no camp or summer school accepting me, so I was dragged along for a nice, expensive honeymoon to London. No offense to the British people, but London was the last place I wanted to be. I wanted to be sulking in my room and continue my secret plot of running away and doing whatever I could to stay away from Mr. George Degaru and his gold-digger of a wife, Nancy. I couldn't do that in London.

I was sitting in my own room in the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel. I had thrown a fit to get my own, and I can assure you that it is a very luxurious one. Interestingly, there was a theater nearby and a few fancy restaurants. I was dying to take a walk, go sightseeing, or do something besides sit and do nothing. Unfortunately, George had said that he'd be coming to get me for dinner, since we were going out to eat at some fancy diner, and that if I wasn't there, in my room, he'd just assume that I wasn't hungry. I didn't have money to get dinner myself, and if you're a boy that's 17, you know how important a meal is. As far as I was concerned, I wasn't going to the bathroom until he came to get me.

I sat on a plush couch, reading "Little Women". No, it's not a girl's book, it's good for every reader. I had been begging for the "Vampire Chronicles", but George kept refusing to give me them. Every few seconds, I looked out the window. It was really just another city to me, I had already seen so many, from when Mom and I were homeless to when we went on business trips with George. I only wanted to sight see because it was the first time I was out of the US and it was better than being inside so much.

It was sunny so far, though I wondered if it was common, because what I read from the Clockwork series from Cassandra Claire always referred to London as cold and rainy. Maybe I was lucky, or it was George's lucky day.

Finally, at around 4:53 in the evening, the jerk poked his gray head in the doorway. He was a heavy -set man with long, gray hair that reached his shoulder. He often wore expensive black suits to boast the fact that he was a rich businessman or whatever. I honestly didn't know what he did for a living, but it wasn't  selling boxes of chocolate. He was too much like Oscar the grouch for that.

He had blue piercing eyes and a beak-like noise that he looked past everyone with that didn't look attractive to me, but every young woman adored him. Or maybe it was his money. Either way, he found woman that would marry him. In short, he was a womanizer and an arrogant rich man. The only thing we agreed on in my entire time knowing him was that we despised one another.
