DISCLAIMERS AND NOTES:
- Ever since I heard Astoria Greengrass' story when I was about 10 years old, I fell in love with her. As a child and now as an adult, I saw her as this figure of courage and strength. There's not many canon pairings that I feel passionately about, but Draco and Astoria's relationship is one that I thought made so much sense and I love the impact she left on his life.
- I saw the vision and idea for this book the first time I listened to "Love Story (Taylor's Version)" by Taylor Swift. This is entirely inspired by the song, almost like a retelling. The chapter titles will be named after lyrics from the song, and all credit there is due to Taylor Swift.
- The timeline of this book may be a little confusing, so hopefully I can clear that up here. Chapters will alternate between the past and the present. If you are familiar with Little Women (2019), it is similar to that. There are two timelines that both move forward, but the past timeline will move much faster than the present timeline. Coordinating chapters will have the same title, but I will specify if it is in the past with "(then)" or in the present with "(now)." The past timeline will have one year between each chapter, starting in 1989 and ending in 1998. The present timeline will have one month between each chapter, starting in September of 2004 and ending in June of 2005. I will write these time stamps at the start of each chapter.
- The youngest and oldest ages the main characters will be portrayed as are 9 and 24-5 for Draco and Daphne, and 7 and 22-3 for Astoria, respectively. Please keep this in mind and comment appropriately. Understand the way they behave at certain ages and have respect for them the way you should with real people, as their stories can happen to any of us.
- The Harry Potter Universe and its characters do not belong to me, but to their original author, whom I do not support. All other characters are of my creation, but many are named after characters in or titles of Taylor Swift's songs, including Willow, Ivy, Betty, August, James, Inez, Este, Dorothea, Marjorie, and Rebekah.
- You are free to imagine the characters however you like, so long as you are respectful to others' interpretations. However, the Greengrass family is Colombian, so please keep that in mind.
