Early that morning, Roo woke up and hopped toward heffalump hollow. He woke up Eli, however, who was surprised to see the young kangaroo in front of his hole. "Roo, what in the hundred acre wood are you doing up so early?" He asked, rubbing his eyes. "Eli, I'm going to capture a heffalump and prove I'm not just a kid to everyone." Roo replied. "Are you crazy? They'll kill you." Eli whispered. "I can handle myself, Eli." Roo said, as he continued toward heffalump hollow. Eli scurried onto Roo's shoulder. "This is gonna be a bad idea, buddy." He said. "But I'm not gonna let you go alone, because I'm your friend." "Thanks Eli." Said Roo. They didn't know that something, or someone, was watching them from the bushes. They went over the fence bravely. Then, Roo tripped and his rope flew into a river.
