"Why did you save me?" You whispered, not yet capable of fully forming your own voice.

"It was our duty to follow orders!" Twice announced, standing with his hands on his hips proudly before quickly slouching his shoulders with a totally different personality taking over shyly, "I really didn't want Shigaraki to yell at me,"

"We had two objectives with the Hassaikai. Given that you're a hero, I can't tell you the first one," Toga said, so grown compared to the last time you'd met her at Camino.

She gave the air of someone independent. Not just a girl searching for friendship, but rather a woman finding her own place in the world.

"But given that you're important to Shiggy, I can tell you the second."

Taking out one of her two handkerchiefs, she shook it out to unfold the cloth, brought it up to your forehead- slowly so as to not startle you. Then, ever so tenderly, she dabbed gently at the little sore that formed when you hit your head. "He told us to make sure Chisaki didn't harm you. Told us to take you far away if he tried."

"Thank you," You said, so shocked at the quickness of today's events you barely realized who it was taking care of you so diligently now.

Twice and Toga'd once been ordered to kidnap and torture you. But you'd been blind to the fact that it was never them who pierced your neck with needles and sent electricity down your spine.

Just because the world calls you a villain for your mistakes doesn't make you irremediable. And even if you have to do wrong in order to stay alive, it doesn't mean you have no heart. It doesn't mean you can't take a moment to care for another simply because you know the comfort it will bring.

"Mm," Toga nodded, leaving her handkerchief on your leg. "There's a hospital right across the street if you want to get your injuries looked at," She said, standing back up and pointing down from the roof. "We have to go now. Police and all,"

"Wait- Wait!" You spoke with your chest, your muscles regaining a connection to your mind.

They brought you this far from battle not just to save themselves, but to ensure you'd be okay. Even if that was just out of loyalty to Shigaraki, he never told them to be so gentle, so considerate- especially in a time of war.

Twice setting you down like something fragile as ever, stepping back to not scare you- Toga asking if you felt alright, giving you something of hers- that was them.

People.
Not villains.
Two people with as much pain in their past as you.
Just children who never got to be saved.

Toga and Twice both waited to hear what you had to say on the ledge.

"I wanna to talk to him," You said, on your knees, holding one hand out in surrender, "Please- I promise I won't say anything, I-"

"Your boyfriend already made us that promise," Toga said, shrugging her shoulders. "We know you'll keep it too,"

You furrowed your brows, still delirious, but wondering if you'd heard her correctly.

"My what?"

"The fiery blonde boy!" Twice cheered, interrupted by the other Twice, "We cannot reveal any of the league's allies so carelessly! The one who punched Dabi!"

"Katsuki?" You whispered, wondering what on earth they were talking abo-

Your eyes went wide puzzle pieces once without a home started to fit together in your thoughts.

He was gone late for two nights. He didn't tell anyone, including teachers and parents, where he was.

Katsuki found a way to their hideout somehow. He never responded because he had to turn off his phone so they couldn't track him. It must've made sense in his mind.
