Part 9

TESSA'S POV:

I wake up to hear the tv silently playing I look to my side to see Steven facing the other way still sleeping, I look at the other bed to see Laila and Daisy cuddling and still sleeping, I look down to the foot of the bed to see Kenneth sleeping still and on the other side is David still sleeping and Mosette is still in the chair watching the TV but glancing out the window every time she hears a car go by

"Did you really not go to sleep?" I ask her rubbing my eyes

"Couldn't, I didn't trust it" Is all she said

"You know were not going to like murder you or anything right?" I ask her and she just laughs

"Yeah I know" She said "Im just not used to being in a big group it used to be just me and D" She added

"Oh, well everyone here is pretty dope so I think you would get along with them pretty well" I said trying to ease her mind

"Yeah, its just a lot more to look out for" She tells me

"Yeah" I said "What time is it?" I asked her

"Uhh 7:18am" She tells me "Check out is at 11:30 so you can go back to bed if you want" She said yawning

"No its ok I will stay up you can at least get some rest" I tell her and she looks hesitant before glancing out the window again before she nods and then eventually falls asleep

I was up for about an hour before Daisy woke up

She looked at me and mumbled something but I couldn't hear

"So how did you and Laila meet?" I asked her interested on how they started dating

"At a camp" is all she said while stretching

"Yeah well no shit but how did you guys meet" She just looked up at me

"The story is not the best so imma go back to sleep to avoid it no hard feelings" She told me and laid back down and went back to sleep and I just chuckled

*Time skip*

It was 11 am and we had to leave in 30 minutes

"Kenny wake up" I said shaking him

"What" Is all he said

"Its 11 we got to go in 30 minutes" I tell him

"Ok ok I will get up in a minute" He said

David, Laila and Daisy woke up and gathered their things and Kenneth woke up shortly after

"Did she stay up?" Kenneth asked about Mosette

"Yeah but I told her I will stay up so she can sleep" I said and he nodded

"I told her I would stay up for her but she told me no" He said before walking away. I wonder why she said no to him but yes to me

"Stevie come on get up" David said waking Steven up

I walk over to Mosette and gently tap her so I don't scare her "Hey Mo you gotta get up now" She opens her eyes and nods getting up when I turn around I see daisy staring at me

We all get ready and head out to check out

DAISY'S POV:

"She definitely likes you" I tell Mosette

"Bro no she doesn't" She said laughing

"She totally does" I tell her

Were at a park right now we finished eating Steven is swinging and David is pushing him talking to Kenneth as he does and Tessa and Laila are at the top of the play ground talking while me and Mosette are sitting at a bench

"So your telling me that because she let me sleep for a little she likes me? That makes no sense" she argued

"No no it totally does" I said laughing "or you like her she said smirking

"i don't" I responded

"I disagree" she says

"I don't care" I tell her

LAILA'S POV:

"Tessa I seen your mom" I tell her she just looks at me

"Where?" she asked

"At camp she was going to foster Mo because she was being kicked out of camp and your mom was going to take her" I tell her "Shes also married"

"Finally got what she wanted huh" she said "Its fine though I don't care about her anymore she never cared about me so its not fair if i care for her" she said sighing "How old is Mo anyways?" She asked

I looked at her confused

"Why?" I ask her

"Just wondering" she responds

"She's sixteen" I tell her and look over to Mosette and Daisy to see them laughing

"So the same age as me ok" she said and it finally clicked

"Wait wait wait, do you like her?" I asked her

"What no" She said blushing

"When did you start liking girls" I asked laughing

"First of all I don't like her and I like both girls and boys I was just asking a question" She said playfully hitting my shoulder

"Excuse me" We heard an man call after us caused all of our heads snap to him

"Young lady at the top" he said pointing to me

"Excuse me sir can we help you" Kenneth said walking up to him

"Uh yes that girl she uh shes a run away" he said he was pretty old too

"No sir i'm sorry I think you got the wrong person" Kenneth told him

"No no i'm pretty sure thats her shes all over the news" he said trying to walk closer but Kenneth stood in front of him

"Sir that is not her" Kenneth said "Anyways how did you see her all the way up there no offense but you seem a little too old to see that far" Kenneth said causing David to laugh loudly

"Kenneth" Mosette called out to him and nodded her head over to the direction where three black cars are sitting

It amazes me how aware she is of everything they were sitting behind a bush but you can see enough to tell that there are three cars many people wouldn't have noticed

"Listen they just need the girl they cant take all of you guys" the old man said

"no" is all Kenneth told him "You should go over there and tell them its not her" He told the old man and he nodded headed back to the car

once he was far enough Kenneth told us to run

"Go go!" he said and we all ran

I turned around to two cars drive off and people run out the other car and chase us they were fast

"Dave!" we heard Steven yell as one of the men grab him and David ran towards him and punched the dude that had Steven

The man let go of him and grabbed his face Steven the took off running David punched him a few more tomes before running behind Steven

Once we lost them we all stopped to catch our breath

"Damnit David what if thats a damn cop?" Kenneth asked him upset

"I don't fucking care he had Stevie" He told Kenneth

"Yeah but now you can be wanted for assault to a police officer" Kenneth told him

"I don't care" David said

"Why do they even want you so bad" He turned to look at me

"Because her dad cares about her" Tessa said

"I thought you had shitty parents?" David asked

"Thats my mom my dad cares but my mom doesn't" I tell them

"Well were gonna have to keep you hidden for a while" Kenneth said
