Missing? hyunchan

3 YEARS AGO ~

the constant sound of fingers crashing against the keyboard filled the silent atmosphere of the room, the person currently sitting on their office chair trying to complete a work document that they had to submit by tonight. 

ring ring 

"Hello?"

"hey chan, are you done with the document? I might need it soon,"

"yea- yea just give me some time I am almost done" 

"Just make sure to state everything properly, whatever you write in that document is really going to affect the results in the courtroom."

"I am trying, you know how much I miss him right, I don't even know what the hell happened!" 

"relax we are gonna get this all sorted out. it's barely been a month since he has been reported missing, I am sure we will-

"Please, how can you say that!? a month isn't a short time minho" 

"I understand chan, but try to calm yourself down, you still have to complete writing the legal agreement" 

"I know, I am trying"

"ok then, I will talk to you later, make sure to mail it to me by today" 

groaning he threw his head back and slouched on his office chair, trying to get himself to complete whatever task he was supposed to do. 

his frequent visits to the courtroom but to no avail, it had been a month, a whole freakin month and he hasn't had a clue on the case. several witnesses and suspects but it lead to nothing, nothing at all. the only thing they found out was hyunjin's phone which also didn't lead them to anything. 

but the only thing they knew for a fact that this was a case of kidnapping, right? ~~~~ hyunjin's phone was brutally broken as someone had crushed it, there were signs of struggle a missing shoe that had been left at the crime scene.  

Nevertheless, who would want to kidnap hyunjin. chan should have kept him away and protected him from the harsh world. but he couldn't rewind time. 

he sighed tiredly as he held hyunjin's information detail paper made by the police. 

Missing person case

NAME: Hwang Hyunjin

AGE: 22

HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 179 CM, 140 lbs (approximately)

LAST SEEN: SUNDAY 23rd February 2019 at around 8:30 pm. Wearing a white sweater and dark brown chinos. Reported coming out of a grocery shop with a small white polythene bag and heading towards an alleyway and has never been seen since.

CASE STATUS: ONGOING 

After reading this information, again and again, several times chan covered his face with his hands in frustration. This was leading up to nothing.  All he could do was stare at hyunjins face in his camera roll and miss his smile. one month without his boyfriend was seriously torture. 

On top of that, his work was a headache too, managing all of this made him both physically and emotionally drained out. He just wanted to see hyunjin unscathed. even if there was something hyunjin was hiding from him or that he had run away, it wouldn't matter to him as long as he was well and ok and that's all that mattered. 

He quickly packed his things and headed back home, playing some soft music on the way trying to calm himself down. Maybe he was just overreacting, maybe a month isn't enough time to declare that hyunjin is officially dead, maybe one day his lover will come back to him knocking on his door with his ever so bright smile. he would hug him and cherish him as he had always done. 

thinking about it made chan smile, a sad one.
