༺honestly he's not old enough for the order; if he was, he'd be like the youngest member, like seventeen + a few weeks
༺two scenarios
༺one: he's entirely on the side of dumbledore's army, and is one of their most ardent members. gets into fights with people who believe that dumbledore was insane, that purebloods are any better than anyone
༺two: he's actually somewhat of an elitist, and since he's a slytherin (obviously), umbridge favors him, and he doesn't get into the cause until later
༺HEAR ME OUT
༺we know how he treated slaves, no one at the time was really for abolition, and totally believed that the common person was not interested in politics and that politics should stay with only government/high society
༺what reason would he have to fight, unless he was oppressed personally?
༺this is demonstrated when he really wanted to get the british king off of their backs, but then wants to make the president a king-figure. he wants revolt only when it directly benefits him, and the power in a place that'll benefit him before anyone else.
༺he'd only join the order's/army's cause when someone was hurt, i don't actually think that he would become a death eater
༺it might become a draco sort of situation (without the parent part)
༺or he'd just stay out of it until forced into it, like getting into the thick of a battle or seeing someone close to him tortured
