He played with the idea, what Sero said. He was one, he was once like Bakugo? How? His face must have shown pure shock, because Bakugo looked over to him, and moved to reach his hand out.

Sero seemed to take pity on him, he moved to sit on the sand. Knowing the content of questions going to be asked, he didn't have to answer them, but Kirishima knew too much. Him going around asking questions elsewhere... That would cause more problems that he didn't want to deal with.

Kiri also sat down, Bakugo trying to get closer to the redhead. Resting his head on Kiri's thigh, he looked over to Sero, also expecting some answers.

He sighed, "I'm not getting into the details. I got myself changed, and Bakugo will not be doing the same. He has a family, being in the ocean is where he belongs."

"Why can't he?" The redhead asked, a hit of distress running through his voice. Bakugo seemed to notice, he was unsure what was fully being said, but the tone in Kiri's voice seemed to set him off. Glancing up and the redhead pouting, reaching over to grab the land Siran's hand and feel the soft skin.

Bakugo knew what was going to happen, but he wasn't going to leave without answers. If Sero had legs, why couldn't he?

He spoke up, "Sero, what happened to you?"

Kiki looked down at him, then back up to Sero, before saying something he didn't understand.
Sero took a deep breath, and lay back on his hands, feeling the sand between his fingers. "That's my story, not yours."

Bakugo played the words over in his head. Taking a deep breath, "Can't you just tell me, I... I want to explore!"

"With a human? Katsuki, listen. This world, it's not for you. Kiri doesn't care about you, he's only here cuz he wants to learn, and that's something you're not understanding!" Sero's voice was harsh.

God, he wished and prayed that he could just talk to Kiki! Speak his thoughts! Why were they forced apart?

"Why?"

"He doesn't know how the land works, doesn't know the language, and he doesn't belong on land, he belongs into the water, far away." Sero snapped, hand rubbing through his hair, he was frustrated, he needed Bakugo to be safe.

"So why can't I see him again, can't he just live around the island?" Kiri pleaded. Bakugo had slightly moved over, no longer leaning against his thigh. He wasn't looking at Sero, just lightly digging in the sand, his frills had sagged down. Kiki was sad, what did Sero say to him?

"And get swept in a net? How 'bout a lobster trap, while looking for food, or get caught on a fishing line? Because to him, he sees food. He doesn't know these things and will get himself killed! Or worse, exposed, and get the whole species hunted down. No! He needs to go back to the safety of his pod before other people find out." Bakugo shuttered at the rough voice of Sero.

Sero sighed, "How long has he been here?"

"Found him yesterday," Kiri muttered, thinking over what Sero said, he was right. If Bakugo stayed here. He would just be in danger.

"Good, I'll need your help carrying him over," Sero said, getting up, Kiri started to panic, it wasn't night, he still had a couple of hours and couldn't Bakugo stay just a little longer.

"Wait!" he said, voice panicked, the pure sound of desperation had Bakugo instantly looking up, eyes wide and looking to Sero for some sense of translation.

Sero raised his eyebrow, just waiting for Kiri to speak, fully knowing that anything that came out of his mouth would come off as selfish.

"Couldn't he-"
